Hi Driven people,

I am a frsher in auto know-how. I need advice on below:

1) Is it good time to buy car this season when floods affected most of the country. Does the rust would affect cars as i have always seens cars being laid out on open grounds.

2) What is good time so that the current 'wet' stock would be over

I am planning to buy a smalll car in A2 segment.

You mean the cars get submerged in dealer parking lots? As far as I know, it is impossible to properly clean a car if the water gets into the passenger cabin. Even if they tried, you could clearly see the tell tale signs of water damage. If I were you I would probably wait for a couple of more months if you have evidence that dealers store cars carelessly. End of October-end of November may be a better time as it is between the two monsoons.

IMHO, there is no danger if you buy from a dealer in Pune. Yes, we had some really heavy rains, but no parts were flooded as such, except along the river. (where no vehicle dealerships are available anyway). Do buy sometime around the festive season, where the cars would be flying off fast from the dealers' lots.
