However, it all depends on the extent of 'greed' on part of Renault while pricing it.
Cost difference between DCT & AMT is 2 lakhs as per the article. What would be the difference between a torque converter & DCT? Besides, when every other car costing around Duster levels is offering a traditional AT why can't Renault?

Re: Renault Duster facelift spotted testing in India

Duster facelift will be launched on Feb 4th, during the Auto Expo 2016

The facelift will feature

1. New single piece center console panel that houses the round HVAC vents
2. Central cubby hole
3. MEDIANAV touchscreen display
4. HVAC controls separated from the main console
5. New fabric upholstery

85 PS variant will sport 5 speed transmission and the 110 PS, along with the 6 speed manual will aslo get the Easy-R AMT.

AMT??? will it be suitable for an SUV???.

IMO Renault should have launched the facelift with the Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) transmission. A missed opportunity I would say

Any news about the Duster facelift that is supposed to be unveiled in the AutoExpo?
I could see pictures of MS Vitara Brezza everywhere.

https://www.renault.co.in/auto-expo-2016.html in about 4 hours you will hear about the Renault facelift. Coincidentally I happened to see a mule only yesterday. The exterior looks very much like the Brazilian brother.
