An article which can't even name Triton, or, on 14th September says that power figures for overseas market model hasn't been revealed yet whereas full official specs have already been in public domain since 1st August , needs to be taken with a truckload of salt..
Oh wait, might as well be trashed.

Re: India-bound 2015 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport launched in Thailand

Will mitsubishi even exist till 2017? I really don't think so. Mitsubishi is dying, not just the Indian subsidiary.

What's with this trend of the long disproportionate tail lights? Even the new Toyota Prius has a similarly strange design. The larger the lens area of the taillights, the higher scope of damage in our Indian traffic conditions.

Re: India-bound 2015 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport launched in Thailand

I fear 2017 might be too little too late for Mitsubishi. Given their wafer thin dealer/A.S.S. network, and formidable looking new Endeavour and Fortuner, it might already be game over for them in India. Current Pajero Sport won't be able to hold a candle to the new age competition, and by the time new Pajero Sport is launched the dealerships would have bled dry. Sad, for this is the company which gave us the Evo's and the Pajeros.

A mid 2017 launch of the refreshed Sport, not that they would have set the sales charts on fire. Be that as it may, If there ever were a competition of "how to make an ass of yourself" then Mitsubishi will take the first three spots.

I just don't get what this manufacturer is up to.

Re: India-bound 2015 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport launched in Thailand

Saw the new Pajero Sport in an autoshow in Kuwait. Here they're calling it the Montero Sport. So, I guess they plan to sell both the models together. Looks really good from the front but the rear will take time for me to get used to. The interiors look really good though.
As a current Pajero Sport owner in Chennai, they better launch this soon. With the Endeavour already having a waiting list, they could bring some customers over to them.

The car looks more and more like a Hexa. Its already got a bit of a MPV shape than an SUV one. Those rear taillights could single handedly change a customers decisions. I don't think Ford or Toyota would have much to worry about.

Considering Mitsubishi is a diminishing brand these days, Ford and Toyota never had much to worry about. However the Paj is a legendary product and one look at the resale value of a Pajero will tell you how much the product is treasured regardless of its relatively irrelevant faults. At the end of the day, it still does the 4x4-ladder on frame-SUV job, the best

Re: India-bound 2015 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport launched in Thailand

Interiors are really nice now. However they did a Mahindra with the rear end, looks too clunky and with too many creases and tucks with that horrible tail light. Should sell well considering how people lap up Mahindra's designs...

This will be available in India only in 2017, and no sooner - from a reliable source.
