Re: Honda BR-V: The Brio-based SUV

I was expecting an ugly car like Amaze, but it looks good enough. What is with so much chrome? Spoils the character the car could have had.

Front looks good. Rear could have been a new design instead of following Mobilio's line. I doubt if it would be a good contender for Creta.

Yes. this video is on other forums as well. However it doesnt give away a detailed review. One thing that stumps me is - will 118bhp be enough for a seven seater? Wouldnt it be under powered?

Re: Honda BR-V: The Brio-based SUV

The Innova at 100Bhp, or the Scorpio at 120 seems to pull through 8 , so..........

Depends on what you compare with.
Ertiga runs on 89 BHP for 1.3L engine.
TUV300 can go around with 84 BHP for 1.5L engine.

If you need better power and torque figure, you need bigger engines too!
Fortuner gives out 142 BHP for 2.5L engine & 169 BHP for 3L engine. However Fortuner costs easily above 30 lakhs, which is not the segment BR-V is aimed at.

Mod Note: Our BR-V Report has been taken live at this link. Please continue the discussion over on the new thread. Thanks!

Any idea about the launch date ?

I think this is somewhere between the Ertiga and the XUV 500 in terms of the size.

I quite liked the car by looks and nice interiors, may consider it. Hope it does not look out of proportion in flesh which is unlikely considering it is a Honda. Seldom their cars lack the looks.
