On Ford Endy, I agree with you on the luxury quotient part. I would have still gone for it if Ford was ready to deliver it this month, for it's sheer VFM quotient , would have convinced myself for the lux trade off with 40L+ savings.

For a vehicle that costs over 35L I didn't feel that the luxury quotient quite added up despite the leather seats.

I've ended up going with the new Superb Diesel which I know if far removed from the Ford SUV but, the price points are identical.

I agree with you the wait in the Ford is rediculous. That was also a factor that I thought was very off putting.

Was offered at 83L OTR, pushing for 82. Supposidely the last pre budget X5 in stock. There were couple more X5s parked in their stock yard though. I've been interacting with Sales manager - Ali, so far a professional dealing.

Land Rover Discovery Sport gets a new 2.0-litre diesel engine

The Land Rover Discovery Sport SUV will now be available with a new 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine in India. This new engine is a replacement of the 2.2-litre diesel unit that was used to power the vehicle previously. This also means that the old engine has now been discontinued from the entire Jaguar Land Rover India model line-up.

The new 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine is being offered in two states of tune - 148 BHP & 382 Nm of torque and 177 BHP & 430 nm of torque. The lower variants are available in the 148 BHP state of tune, while customers opting for the top-end HSE Luxury variant get the 177 BHP version. All variants come with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
