New Indica Pics?

Ok Folks. Here are 3 pics i could click on the bombay-bangalore highway while i was out for a ride on 25th June. The water marks are shoddy but you can still see the car. What i could not click was the interiors since the driver came and simply pulled away. But it did have the instrument cluster placed in the center. The plastics are all black and not beige. Maybe that changes later on.

Can we somehow have a bigger picture of the car? One thing that I see is that the gap between the tires and body looks much better now. Probably, this is the top of the line model with proper shoes and rear wipers. The Wheel caps look nice!

Saw the new Indica testing

I saw the new Indica testing on the Bangalore-Mumbai highway on 3 occasions over the period of last 2 months. Colour of the car was same as photographed by Nilesh5417. There was a uniform mud on the car which was definitely an artificial job to hide as much as they could. Long back I had seen another covered car 1 yr back on Ahmednagar road. I was alone in the car so could not click photos.

My observations (Once the car overtook me 3-4 times as I was driving at 60 and the indica was taking stops and then driving)

1. Car looks bigger and has more height than the present indica
2. Curves have been reduced at the back, so it should be more spacious than the current car
3. At the back it looks quite similar to Ford Fusion
4. Tyres on the prototype looked very skinny and not at all appealing
5. Speed and pick up seemed to be impressive. It was going at 100+ very nicely and had good poise. So looks like a better engine coming this way
6. Front slanting head lights look mean and give the car a distinctive look compared to the current car

My guess is that this will sell alongside the current indica at a higher price point and will be aimed at the individual buyers while the current indica will be sold to taxi/tourist industry folks

Looks like the Spark in the 2nd pic. And Ford Fusion from the rear.

What's this Tata fascination for HUGE tail lamps ?

I like the headlamps..excellent. The front grill has some resemblance to that of a Ford. Not impressed with the rear though. Its time they changed the christmas-tree pattern.

Nilesh,

Where is this place..

Just curious, TN registration but background graffity is in Malayalam. I guess this is somewhere in kerala.

I think you need to watermark properly. Indica had this kind of tall taillamps long time back. Later they turned to small round ones.

?????
Are you referring to the once used in Indicabs.

Another question: Are these tail lights standard fitments on the Indicab. See logo at bottom right with a missing C.
I remember seeing the Indica the way it looks right now from the very beginning.

From the front the car looks like a different type of Peugeot. Not bad.

The C-pillar cannot put up with the muscular front. The C-pillar portion looks like its from Matiz/Spark.

This could be better designed.
