I was offered a discount on the petrol Elegance TSI. Don't know if it is still applicable.

So finally the car came to the yard last Thursday and I had a look today.
The start button is on the steering column, right side, where the key hole was. Steering is 3 spoke with paddles (from superb). HU is same size as Elegance. Horn is "skoda wallah horn". The beige and fake wood inserts was not to my taste. Vin says its July 2015 Car.

Any pictures by any chance? Also the fake wood inserts are the standard Elegance ones, right? Or are they different?

Wish they had taken this opportunity to expand the HU screen size to at least 6.5"

Finally an update from someone at least. Did you manage to click any pics? Are there any decals on the exterior for differentiation of the special edition? Wood inserts have never been mentioned earlier is that something new in this edition? When are you taking the delivery?

Fake wood inserts are same as elegance. Apart from 4 new features its same as elegance. No outside decals or differentiation

If you have some picstures, I really wanted to see the interiors, Haven't seem them yet.

Sorry i don't have picture. I don't use a good cell phone to take pics . Its same as normal elegance other than the steering

Seems Skoda has only limited numbers of the Elegance left which is why they are giving approximately a lakh discount on them. Per my information, the Style Plus / Anniversary Edition will be a permanent fixture going forward.

Anyone have any further information?

They have advertised that it is a limited edition only and the same was also informed to me by my dealership.

Will this limited edition be different from regular editions in the sense of having genuine emission display or will it be more of the same usual deception.

I was told exactly the opposite in the grounds that Skoda have already given it a 'proper' variant name, i.e. 'Style Plus'. My fellow told me Ambition and Style Plus will remain as variants and Elegance will be stopped.

I believe the Skoda Octavia being the new EA888 series engines is not affected at all by the defeat device.

However, the existing Jetta, Yeti, Superb, old Laura are all at 'risk'. ARAI has already asked VAG (VW, Audi & Skoda) to revert with a list of models in India that may have this device installed.

Hope we find out. Some engines have been found out. Just because some engines have not been found out does not mean that they are unaffected. It is Skoda/VW's word, and for the regulators to find out.

Any reliable info on whether the Style edition is permanent? Skoda Autobahn insists it will be for limited period only although I'm not sure if that's just sales speak.

Separately, they continue to be absolutely confident that the paddle shifts are ONLY on the Diesel version, and not on the Petrol 1.8 Elegance. Has anyone seen the 1.8 Style edn and can confirm this either way?
