So is this across all variants or just like the One Year anniversary edition only on Mid trim of Zest.

The rear windscreen curtain sounds interesting.

Would have appreciated if Tata provided what which is actually necessary for the cars. Eg:
1. NANO
-Disc breaks
-ABS
-Airbags
-5 speed transmission
2.STORME
- Automatic Climate control
- Integrated touchscreen media with navigation.
- Some redesign to rear.
- leather seats
These could have worked well rather than stuff like sunroof for nano and hood deflector like additions. Wake up Tata!

To be fair most of these are performance related changes or require mechanical changes. Mostly manufacturer would prefer to give such changes with a facelift. Accessories and other aesthetic changes is what you would generally expect in a celebration model.

Anyone sure about the Nano getting a sunroof? Removed it from the title as zooming in on the picture tells a different story. Looks like one of those fake sunroof covers you'd see on Maruti 800s at one time.

Yes was about the say the same thing these are all Dealer accessories and the Sun Roof like the Hood Scoop is all show and no go.

Wow a Nano with sun roof and none of the others getting the option would be really silly.

The Nano power would be severely compromised by a real heavy sun roof as also the aero dynamics. When they are limiting the car top speed due to tyres and vehicle height can't see them adding a heavy sunroof at the top.

I hope this was a mistake.
If not, then :
* Celebration edition body graphics and badge
* Remote controlled hatch release
* Specially designed art leather seat covers
* Bumper corner protector
* Faux Sunroof
How does this come up to 27k worth of equipment??

GTO, a BHPian has installed Webasto's sunroof on the Nano AMT for 14k. Refer this link. This might have been a bad PS job on the regular Nano's image.

* Faux Sunroof 15.5K?

Looks like the charge of genuine 15.5K would get a small genuine sun roof even if a manual one. But not a great idea if they are going it. Also then this should be a company fitment? Not a dealer fitment? Though as gannu mentions this has been done so it could actually be a third party sunroof.

What about vehicle safety if it really is a sun roof.

These have all been changes that does not require approval from ARAI etc. so no stuff like wider or better tyres, abs etc.

Re: October 2015: Tata Motors launches Celebration Editions for entire range

Sunroof on a Nano? Is it required?
Nano already has a huge glass area. Apart from that the size of the top portion in Nano is approximately equal to the size of its windshield itself. Now how big or small can be that Sunroof?
Currently the front seat passengers more or less sit directly under the curved windshield and not under the roof.
By giving such features on Nano, Tata are just making a fun of themselves. Instead they could have done the same treatment on a Bolt, which would have really made sense.
If they give at least half of the Nano's attention on Bolt, they can make save it from sinking.

Re: October 2015: Tata Motors launches Celebration Editions for entire range

A simple, tilt sunroof (not sliding), will be around 12-14,000 rupees at the retail end for customers like us. For an OEM, procuring such a part at 4000-4500 rupees should not be much of a problem.
In fact if TML is thinking of this option as standard fitment or as an accessory for any other car in their line-up, they can beat down prices further.

There may be a slight loss in torsional rigidity as you technically have a hole in the head! Sunroofs usually are a company fitment as the cutting & sawing of the roof is done better by the OEM rather than at a dealer.
Performance of sunroof's such as Water / Weather sealing , resistance to shattering from unfortunate rollovers are usually taken care of by the sunroof manufacturer and are not a major cause of worry.

I hope, if they give a sunroof, they should also provide a manual sunblind in the cabin. Only a transparent sunroof would mean the interiors steaming up in the summer months. Also the AC should be upgraded / re-looked at, as all cars equipped with sunroof face a higher solar load compared to their conventional roofed brethren.

Tata Motors is also following the Maruti’s path of doing sticker jobs.
Tata Motors management has ruined all the products of Tata Motors passenger cars be it Nano or the Aria by improper designing, pricing and marketing. I myself have test driven the bolt and the Aria. And according to me Tata Motors passenger cars is the most underrated car brand in the Indian car market. I think so it’s time for Tata Motors to change its top management and replace those Gold medalists management with some Automobile Enthusiast management.
