Haha. Those are demo / display vehicles hence the XXL size branding via decals on the sides.

Delivery cars will not have any such decals.

Car is at dealers, two days given, 10th oct, and then 15th Oct has been missed. Not sure now what is the date given !
I have booked the car. Got the confirmation from the dealer in Pune that is launching tomorrow - 17th October.

Thats good news and thanks for sharing it hemanshughia. At which dealer have you booked your car? Has he given any delivery commitments or at least tentative dates?

Re: Maruti Ertiga Facelift caught at dealer stockyard

Really good that the keyless entry buttons are on both the front doors and on the boot. Add to that the third row split seats and i guess MSIL has indeed given generous thoughts on adding practicality.

However, its sad that the auto A/C is still missing on the top variant. Somehow that makes the ZDI+ dashboard feel incomplete. If Dzire can have one, then why not Ertiga?

Re: Maruti Ertiga Facelift caught at dealer stockyard

Dealer is Mahalaxmi at Mundhwa.

I had given the booking amount approx 3 weeks back. He said I should be able to get in the first lot that they receive. It was too premature to discuss the dates as there was no clear information about the car launch date.

My target was, either get it on Dusherra, if it had launched on 10th Oct or in the Diwali week (9th Nov to 14th Nov).

Given that it is launching tomorrow, I think I should be able to get by Diwali. I will be going to Pune tomorrow again to confirm the delivery dates. I do follow Muhurat - and I have identified 2 or 3 dates as long as I am getting on those dates I am happy

Great find. Maruti is the master of packaging a product well.

Very true. The only reason I can think of Maruti not replicating the Auto AC of Dezire in Ertiga is the dual AC (two evaporator coils) in Ertiga. It might need two temperature sensors or at least two different inputs to the two separate expansion valves for the front and rear evaporator coils (I am just guess and no technical expert). This added complexity might have made it prohibitively costly to design and manufacture.

This is strange. My dealer has no idea about the launch date. Is it being done in phases across the cities ?

Ertiga launched at a starting price of Rs 5.99 lakhs. ( ex- Delhi)

The Ertiga becomes the only MPV in the segment to be offered with an automatic gearbox. It rivals the likes of the Honda Mobilio and Toyota Innova.

20.73 kmpl for MT? Is that for Petrol? Then MSIL has a sure shot winner on hand

Re: Maruti Ertiga Facelift caught at dealer stockyard

The automatic option seems to be priced fairly decently! For someone considering the Honda Jazz CVT it might be a good idea to give this one a good look. Got to hand it to Maruti for making safety features standard across the board.

Somehow I am tempted to get the automatic version purely because of the extra seats as this would make a good city runabout for the full family and the Innova can be the highway star. I know its not a fitting replacement for my Vento but nevertheless.

I wonder if the Baleno CVT being offered in the lower trim has got something to do with the Ertiga AT being launched. Launching it in the higher trim would mean that someone considering the Baleno CVT will probably end up going for the Ertiga as they would be priced similarly and the Ertiga has the added advantage of 2 more seats!

How come the LXi with all those extra safety features without the hybrid tax soap still priced at 5.99l?

And I see a lot of discrepancies in prices:

The difference between Lxi and LXi(o) is 35K, while of LDi and LDi(O) is just 7K!

The difference between Lxi(O) and VXi is 90K, while of LDi(O) and VDi is just 65K!

Re: Maruti Ertiga Facelift caught at dealer stockyard

I was hoping against hope that the leaked info about AT variant was off the mark and Ertiga would be offered with AT in VXi onwards and not VXi only. False hopes :-(

I am very keen on some of the ZXi features (AVN System, Driver Seat Adjustment, Rear Camera, Rear Wiper and Defogger). Although most or all can be added aftermarket, I am not a fan of major aftermarket modifications. I prefer my car to be factory fitted with most of the kit I want.
So now I wait for a few months and hope Maruti launch ZXi AT sometime in the future, or settle with VXi AT + aftemarket mods, or wait for XUV5OO AT (which would require a significant stretch of the budget). Tough choices!

Mods, is there a plan to review the Ertiga AT, or can we assume it will perform just like the Ciaz AT, since it is the same unit (although body type and weight are different) ?

That is because LXI at 5.99 only has a driver side airbag. Rest all of it is totally bland, totally devoid of any features. No power windows, no second row AC, nothing. That's why there is a 125k difference between LXI & VXI.

I would say VXI has almost everything on it. A total VFM variant. SE's will have to try hard to sell the ZXI in comparison to VXI.
