So it has got push button start but no request sensor? Or will it be there on production? If not it will be I think one of the few cars around which has a push button start but no request sensor. I think the BMW used to have that mechanism although I am not sure

Yes BMWs got the same atleast in 1 and 3 series. Push button start/stop but without request sensor. The doors should be locked/unlocked using key fob. The request sensor is an option.

Initially, I got euphoric that maybe an AWD is coming. On second thoughts, they did something similar with the Zest too - different tunes of the engine. Only difference this time around is the use of a knob (similar to Hexa) instead of buttons.

PS: How cool would an AWD version be, with this kind of ground clearance. Sigh!

May be this car was hastily put together for the Motor Show. I'm sure production version will have this sorted out.

Of all the cars made by TM, I find the Xenon and Nexon best looking. Funny, how Nexon is an anagram of Xenon. Looking from bumper to bumper TM has got the looks spot on. Design is so cohesive. No part sticks out like a sore thumb. Nor are there any ugly angles. It looks stunning from all sides.

Had visited my Tata Dealership workshop for some minor checkup of my Manza last week. Words floating around the Sales team that Nexon is presently scheduled to hit the dealers around 2018.

And this car may not have an impressive road presence, but the interiors and amount of detail i can see feels a lot premium then what Maruti serves us in Vitarra Brezza or even in so called premium hatchback Baleno. They should take some lessons from TATA on how to make one's interior actually premium.
Waiting for the launch.

In my opinion, I think it was a deliberate decision to shape Nexon the way it is right now, more like Evoque (Coupe?) and less like a big bulky SUV with road presence. They probably chose this decision to stand out of the crowd.

To my untrained eye and judging only by the pictures, Tiagor(?) looks bigger or equal to Nexon in appearance and road presence. Specially from the front, Nexon looks really compact. That could be a good or a bad thing depending on the buyer's preference. Personally for me, bigger "looking" CUV is a pass as long as it's spacious inside.

Both have approximately the same length but the Nexon is substantially wider (width of Nexon 1811mm as against 1677mm of the Tigor)
and taller (1607mm against 1537mm).
So the Nexon will definitely look bigger than the Tigor.

I am able to interpret from the video that the rear leg room is more cramped than that of Brezza/Ecosport. Can any one please confirm whether it is because of the driver seat in fully rolled back position ?

Are you referring to this video by MotorBeam?

The reviewer did mention that the person sitting in the driver seat had it pushed all the way back, but when adjusted to the reviewers 6 foot frame it did seem reasonable. There is a good 3 inches between the knees and front seat back.

Can't really say that without actually seeing the vehicle on the road.
