The shape of the parcel tray looks very interesting. It looks robust and deep enough to take a couple of full sized shopping bags. Anyone knows the purpose of the semi circular recess on the tray?

The rear wash-wipe is possibly sticking out on the inside. This recess in the tray would most likely align with the wash-wipe module, to allow smooth un-hindered movement of the tray & door during open-close operations.

Spotted a couple of the test mules in Udaipur today. I could not locate any support vehicle with the cars. One of the cars had three person sitting in the rear and this was easily keeping pace with the fast moving highway traffic.

Got so excited on spotting the cars that I forgot to click photos from the front.

These look like entry level models with steel wheels; the dual tone paint scheme is absent as well.
Like others, I too feel that they should make the dual tone paint scheme standard across all variants. It is one of the elements that create all the drama in the design. Without the dual tone paint it will be bland.

Is it only me or anyone else think the front (bonnet) of the car looks too short? Have they shelved off some length from front to make some space at the rear (boot)?

The Tata Nexon Geneva Edition came with a 6-speed manual transmission and a terrain management system which hints at a segment-first AWD in the top-end variant.

Thats wrong reporting by IAB, the knob behind the gear lever is for the driving modes and not the terrain management system

Nope, we aren't getting AWD. The AWD system with terrain management would push the cost north. The cost and engineering isn't worth it for TATA to bother.

Saw about 3 of these yesterday on my Way to Manali.

I even captured one in Manali traffic last night. This one had alloy wheels. The other 3 i saw in day time had steel rims in black.

I wonder if they would consider bringing out the AWD version mated to the auto transmission (has the AMT been mated to a four wheel or AWD anywhere?).
That plus top of the line safety features like 6 airbags with ABS, traction control and the rest could potentially make it a very potent package - one that could shake up the compact SUV market like never before.

The Creta is a little too far for a comparison. Cant say much unless we get them along side each other
