But I like the rear. It's the question mark "?" rear (when viewed from side) which is new design theme these days. You see it in Volvos and new Honda CRVs. I like it. Even without dual tone, this car is looking good, thanks to those thick black inserts here and there. This is going to be my next car, unless they disappoint me with lack of AMT at launch time.

Thanks for sharing these . The rear of the Nexon reminds me of the 2017 Ford Escape. I think it'll take some getting used to, but if nothing else, the design is fresh and interesting.

The design is definitely refreshing, but there seems to be too many design elements and looks quite busy in my opinion. The styling on the boot has too many design elements, not to my taste for someone who like clean simple styling. The black cladding on the side looks like a straight lift from the Hyundai i10. It's odd shaped and doesn't suit the design of the car overall

I really like the design of the Nexon , one thing that is bothering me is the really low nose . That's generally not a good design direction for even an pseudo suv .

That rear bumper needs to come down a little, to make the design a bit more cohesive.

If I recall the tigor also had the same issue and they added a skirt for the Geneva show, which transformed the car..

Something to do with the platform I think., which is making them use such high cut bumper in the rear.

IMHO,

In terms of design:
Front - Thumbs up!
Rear - Thumbs down!!!

The best angle to view the car is definitely head-on or front quarter.

Coming to engine, if I'm not wrong, as per a few magazines, Tata was devoloping new 1.5L Turbo diesel and petrol engines. The former should debut with Nexon. And that Tata has taken it's QC a notch above with this drivetrain.

The ceramic bit of element in the design in rear would look better with darker shades like red, and not in white. We need to see better pictures/different shades.

Team-bhp news showing the production ready photos says that the diesel would be a 1.3L Multijet but most of the magazines mention that to be a 1.5L Revotorque (Tiago/Tigor diesel engine with additional cylinder to make it 1.5L - from internet sources). Does anyone have information of what would really be deployed.

The Blue (displayed at Auto expo) and Red (displayed at Geneva) shades looked awesome with the ceramic window liner.

An all-new 1.5L four-cylinder, turbocharged Revotorq capable of producing 108BHP of power and close to 260Nm of torque. It will be paired to a 6-speed MT transmission.

An AMT version might join the ranks much later.

Thanks RavenAvi. It is always a shock for me to see the Diesel engine as 1.3L multijet anywhere as I have been waiting for Nexon for more than a year now and still clamly waiting for the year end, mainly for the new 1.5L Revotorque engine only.
