re: The Tata Nexon, now launched at Rs. 5.85 lakhs

This is a mega news, if Tata launches Nexon with both Petrol and Diesel the pricing can be attractive. Lets hope it is a well rounded product without any stone left un-turned. Should capture a bit of Brezza's market.

Isn't the rear seat claustrophobic, like Verna? Too inclined for my liking. But will wait for real time reviews.

Nexon will not eat into Brezza sales, but will eat into Ecosport sales. Brezza customers may not want to cross shop with Tata quite frankly.

Claustrophobic?
Watch this video from 2.02 min if you would like to know more about rear legroom, shoulder room, and head room. Overall review looks positive.

The interiors are quite premium. Notice the covered cup holders, ala Civic.

Exactly! Window line appears to quite high. Noticed it during the ACI review at Auto expo. Might be a deal breaker for some.

I was also thinking about it. May be for different power modes?

Nexon has 3 drive modes, Eco, City & Sports. The selection of these modes will be done via the dial.

Absolutely true swiftnfurious. In fact, the exhaustive image gallery from the ACI report was shared on this very thread - Link - (http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...ml#post3950686).

Below image clearly shows the 3 modes - in a rather vivid manner

That dial though looks like the cool gear selector from the JLR range, hope this also has the same party trick of disappearing when the engine is shutdown

re: The Tata Nexon, now launched at Rs. 5.85 lakhs

Claustrophobic rear seats might appeal to Swift and Swift Dzire users.

If Nexon is heavy and doors as well weighted as those of Zest, that might not appeal to Brezza favourites.

Looking at Tiago and Tigor, I doubt Nexon would be as flimsy as competition.

re: The Tata Nexon, now launched at Rs. 5.85 lakhs

Hi Folks,

Today, I spotted camouflaged Tata Nexon on the way to Jaisalmer from Tanot. Perhaps, it was being tested for AirCon efficiency in desert summer. As soon as I overtook it the driver of the test car spotted Team-Bhp sticker on my car and crossed me and pulled upto 150km/hr to lose the tail. But at a junction my dashcam managed to capture it.

re: The Tata Nexon, now launched at Rs. 5.85 lakhs

The only thing i feel is a little out of place in the interior is that parking brake lever. It just seems out of place in a premium looking car. Just out of curiosity if anyone have more info on difference in both price and operation between e-brake and hand brake, pls share.

This is specially true for the Hexa, which not only looks weird but is in the way of the arm rest. It also reduces cubby space, which the Hexa lacks severely. Tata is moving in the right direction, with continued efforts in rehabilitating their ASS (Hexa ASS for everybody )) and perhaps a little more focus on ergonomics, after which they should do well.

Hopefully will book the Hexa in the coming week (Heart says Mighty Endy).

He might be referring the last picture. That's really weird with placement awkwardly close to the passenger seat. I could see a laptop placed on the seat along with some cables. If it is really the parking brake, I don't get the logic or is it because of glass reflection / quality of the photo that the image looks different?!

It is what you see. I had brought up this same point quite early in the discussions, but people began to give many explanations and justifications. The hand-brake lever is placed on the left edge of the centre console. You can see it pulled up in the picture.
