Hey Sure. Let's do that.
Glasgow Grey is deeper than the Zest/Bolt and has a bluish tint. Appears darker in person. Photographs really well.
You'll like it. Sent you a PM.

That is due to the extra load on the car's battery & electrical systems. Similar to the effect AC has with the car's pulling power.

The smartplay system in Maruti has the same feature wherein the moment you switch on your parking lights, the system screen dims a bit. But that can be over ridden in the system settings. The reason for the dimming is to restrict the strain on eyes because at night, the pupils are already dilated as the cabin is dark. You can check in system settings for the same.

Not really. It is a feature. I have seen it in most cars that have huge screens for infotainment systems. Even my car with matrix display has it. Switching on your headlight means that it is dark outside. So your console lights and display screens get adjusted to low brightness automatically. It is easy on your eyes to drive that way.

@ RavenAvi, that was much useful info that you shared. Max speed is 165, really? Anyways, any info on the AMT? I somehow managed to get the information that the Ecosport face-lift would most probably be launched in Jan 2018, from a birdie in Ford.

Sir

I have read all the posts on this thread from 7th October 2017 but I'am not able to locate the post wherein RavenAvi has claimed that Tata Nexon's top speed is 165 Km/h. In future, I request you to use the quote function while addressing a fellow member. Not only will it be easier for a casual reader to get the context of the discussion but it will also enable them to respond on your comments better.

As per the road test performed by Autocar India, posted on their website on 7 September 2017, the top speed of Tata Nexon diesel in 6th gear is 183 Km/h at 3800 RPM.

Condor is right. My City and Sail have the same feature too. The backlight of the instrument cluster and infotainment display is lit in the day to suit the daylight. When you turn the headlamps on, in the night, the lights in the interior are dimmed automatically, so that they do not distract the driver from seeing the road.

The 165km/h number was from the Tech. Specs. RavenAvi uploaded. Here's a cropped/highlighted version of the same.

Re: The Tata Nexon, now launched at Rs. 5.85 lakhs

So the service interval is 6 months / 7,500 kms. However, an oil change and other major items are required only once every 15,000 kms.

The speed you are a claiming to have clocked on your Swift is way beyond the maximum speed limit permissible on any public road in India. Such posts may not only influence young readers negatively but are also against rule number 11 of Team-BHP forum rules.

1. You did not have to read a lot of posts to get the max speed mentioned. A little more attention would have pointed you to the data easily.

2. He neither mentioned that he did those speeds on a public road nor did he advocate dangerous driving. So let us not give more importance to it than the fact that a Swift can do a max speed of 165kmph. If it is about painting a wrong picture to the youth, the internet is already filthy. So let us leave it to reader's discretion.

Re: The Tata Nexon, now launched at Rs. 5.85 lakhs

On safe speeds. I have not tried to cross 80 on Indian roads, even in the previous car. 40-60 is my comfort zone. Lot of situations are thrown at you which one can never humanly be prepared for.

On the Nexon, I'm keeping the RPM under 2K during run in.

On a happy note, the 3M guys raised the car and told me underbody coating already exists, no need for it now. I had noticed this during PDI.
Aint that sweet? Saves me a bundle. The layout looks really neat.

Did the dealership give any reasons for the same, to your friend?

I believe, even Jeep compass is facing this fogging issue.
Apparently fogging of headlamps is a normal as per the Nexon manual.

The manual mentions that AMT will have creep forward feature but does not mention hill assist. Can we assume that AMT will not come with hill assist or creep forward includes hill assist?

Which variant is the AMT? XZ+DT? I didn't know that they had launched the AMT as well. Any info what's the price for AMT versions in Bangalore?
