good news for honda lovers, coming back from college i spotted the new honda accord on the greater noida expressway doing some high speed test runs.could not take any pics as the car just zipped by me.so am posting a pic of the same from the net.

though the indian version that i saw today had the taillights extended even on the trunk lid.(like in the case of the nhc zx ).it might have been to mask the design to some extent but imho the curent accord looks better.
will take pics tom if i spot it again..

helli baby !!! I think i caught a glimpse of this test car too only the back end seems to be changed.

Well even i guess the current accord looks better than the new accord from the pics of what i have seen on the net, but will have to wait till we see it on road !

when i saw it my rear view, the front end looked different too.when is the new accord due.
i seriously think they shouldnt chane the accord, just give a manual tranny with the 3.0 v6.:Cheering:

Actually this is quiet an old design and was brought in after the Hyundai copied the bums of Accord!
So, the new one should be different from what you see in thie pic posted.

BTW, I dont want Honda to change the current Accors for some more time. Maybe a next year launch would be okay!!

so maybe the lights on the trunk lid were not a masking job but actually the new look of the car.though the taillights were the exact same design as in the pic posted above.only addition was extra taillights on the trunk lid.

Guys, if I remember, the model which is shown in the pic at the top of this thread, is one of the existing Honda Accords being sold as the 2006 avtar in US. They even sport a 2 door model with a V6 engine, AT and a sunroof to go with the classy interiors there. Its a 5 seater like the usual one being sold here though.

Wish that even if they dont change the existing model (which rocks) they bring in a 2-door variant with a 3.0 V6 and sunroof to go with it;)

Heres the link their site...

I am sure u guys will like it. Though I dont see this particular model making it to Indian roads in near future. Are we ready for a loaded 2-door coupe to sell in massive numbers?

the trunk light looks hot nothing else. especially the tail lights.

Oye Helli.
Good find.

Seriously the current Accord needs a change. The rear end is just way too heavy to look at. Just hoping the new one comes with crome tipped dual exhausts.

I think there is a market for an accord spec car which is a bit shorter than the full-size version. A coupe would thus be perfect. Actually lot of potential buyers (late 40s,50s folks) are on the shorter side...and thus opt for a Civic rather than an accord since they feel that a Civic is more manageable in crowded roads.

The facelift has been long due! This version has been on sale in the US for a while now......Tho i dont fancy the rear much, i hope the rear lights are from the thai version which has white out indicators, looks much better.
The main thing to look out for here is what changes they will make! The 4cyl is gonna get a few more horses i think but lets hope for some more punch in the v6! and Paddle shifters plsssssssssss

i dont think the indian public is ready to spend 15lacs on a car which isnt big;)

as far as shortening the car is concerned to make it viable for 40,50yr old folks, honda will have to drop the price of the car, that will damage the brand equity..and whats the point anyway, there is the civic to cater to those customers.
in the link mentioned by hmishra 83,the accord starts at a price of $18.000,thats 9lacs.damn i hate our govt for such high taxes.
@fuelled:i think i did spot two chrome exhaust tips, not really sure though.could have been the v6 version as it already comes with dual exhaust tips.

check out these.....pics..

2006 Honda Accord Hybrid rear is like the thai version. But in the U.S it is only offered in Hybrid. Check out the following link:
