Good point. Thanks for pointing that out. Never really realized that Creta is shorter than BRV. Probably the more proportionate length helping matters for it.

Not just the Creta. The BR-V's length is actually identical to the Mahindra Scorpio down to the last mm.

The width is what goes against it but I didn't really find it awkwardly proportioned.

Actually the BR-V as a standalone product is a very decent package. The biggest problem the BR-V has is the Mobilio. The Mobilio tarnished the image completely and the BR-V based on the Mobilio has resulted in it being branded as a crossover Mobilio which it is but if there was no Mobilio this problem wouldn't have occurred.

Then there's the fact that Honda are charging a hefty premium for what is essentially a revamped Mobilio. Nearly 2 lakhs over the Mobilion.

Looking at it in isolation, it's really not that bad vs the likes of the Duster, Creta, S-cross and Lodgy. It's tries to look like an SUV but offers the practicality of an MPV.

The main USP of the BR-V I see is the petrol motor with the new 6 speed gearbox and the CVT. This is what will distinguish it apart from the Duster, Creta and S-cross.
