Tivoli spotted testing again in namma Madras. Spotted it on the GST near Singaperumal Kovil earlier this week!

The Ssangyong Tivoli was caught on camera during a testing run on NH45 between Chennai and Theni by a Motorbash reader.

This testing mule was accompanied by a TUV500 test car.

Testing the Tivoli's powertrain in a Tivoli itself ? How would it help ? If they really want to test it, then it would need to be put into the target vehicle. But that is a different exercise altogether, unless they have already used a matching engine in the intended / target vehicle.

Yep. It is possible that they are testing the powertrain, since they would need time to develop the mounts adapting to their existing vehicle, especially that meet the performance of Tivoli.
The next thing would be plug this powertrain into the target vehicle and test, which I believe would happen very soon. I wouldn't be surprised if the tuv500 is already part of that practice, as it's easy for them to develop at this stage.

Just saw a completely undisguised Tivoli near Nandambakkam. It had the DRL / Park lights which are bright LEDs. Initially I thought it was KUV and then mistook it for Brezza. However, I recognised it to be a Tivoli. Looks to be the same size as Brezza and it had the red + black paint combo. The paint was shining and looked like a brand new car. Couldn't take a pic as it crossed in a jiffy.

Spotted this on the Chennai-Salem highway 10 days ago. I am guessing it is the Tivoli as it was accompanied by couple of XUV500's. He had actually parked on the side at a toll and when he realized i was slowing down to click pictures he just took off.

I tried catching up and went up to good speeds, but the car was seriously quick. Add to that I am not the fastest driver on the block. I did overtake him a little later though. But I was totally impressed with the acceleration even though i felt the tyres were too skinny for that kind of torque

The five-seater monocoque SUV is loosely based on the SsangYong Tivoli‘s X100 platform.

From all the spy pics, it looks just as big and very similar in shape to the Skoda Fabia.

The dizzy camouflage makes it look smaller than it is. The car is 4.2x m long, it comes with excellent interiors and the kit is also impressive.

I guess M&M is going to position this alongside Scorpio as a "Car-like" SUV. Dr. Goenka had earlier said their next model would have the looks of an SUV but feel like a car in other every respect. The S201 is what he was referring to.

That's odd to say the least! Most people (me included) bought the Scorpio basically because it is the SUV's SUV, if you know what I mean - it looks & feels nothing like a normal car (sedan or hatchback).
