Here is the picture with the seat belt signs highlighted.
Sorry to burst your bubble buddy, but this is a standard feature of the Ssangyong Tivoli, and has nothing to do with Mahindra
Here is a picture of the the Tivoli's center console taken from Google, and you can see them here.

It must have been a standard feature in the Tivoli but it was not needed for Mahindra to carry it over to India (Neither by public demand nor by regulations). So, it is still a major step by Mahindra to bring that in a country where other manufacturers (Read Maruti and Hyundai) while bringing their cars to India change even the structure of the cars to make more profit, thanks to our public awareness and non existent regulations.

Let’s hope it is functional and not a dummy icon

If we don't see any of them lit (when the ignition key is on), it must be dummy. They can't remove those LED/holes from the panel but they would have removed the sensors from the seat belts and the wiring.

Now, I am quite sure its functional, albeit present only on the top end variant since an image from a lower variant doesn't have them. Not even dummy switches.

Here is the image.

PS: Can somebody tell me what does the last button in that row do? It seems like a steering symbol.

Looks average for this segment I feel. 350ltr perhaps and bigger than Vitara brezza

Also due to the width of this car, volume might be higher yet not deep.

Posting the AC controls for both top end and lower end variants.

While the top end variants feature dual zone AC, the lower variant seem to have a Rear AC button. Not very clear from this pic though:

re: The Mahindra XUV300, aka Ssangyong Tivoli. Edit: Launched @ 7.9 lakhs

I feel this car is the best to be launched from Mahindra, ever. Frankly, Mahindra has hit it out of the park. And I really applaud Mahindra to launch this car in India with all the safety features as in the international version of the car. Contrast this to our market leader who not only compromises on safety features but also the basic structural integrity of the car to save a few bucks.
The only thing I do not like about this car is the rear side portion after the windows which must have been chopped off and redesigned by Mahindra to duck under the stupid 4m rule. Apart from this, I can't find anything wrong with this car. If Mahindra prices this sanely, are we looking at a new segment leader? May be it is too optimistic thinking but Brezza surely has a worthy (and clearly better) competitor now.

PS- I hope Mahindra quickly launches the full-length version of the Tivoli (XUV 400 coming??) at a competitive price which can take on the Creta head-on.

This looks really good. Inside out. And kudos to mahindra for giving us all the safey features. I'm sure this will get a good safety rating.
What is the stock tyre size? And about the engine, is that the new engine form the marazzo?

Between the brezza and xuv300, its a no contest for me. Hope the pricing is at brezza range though
