Ciaz was revealed in scoops earlier than the launch of the City, which wasn't spied during the testing phase for Maruti to have known what Honda was up to.

Most such 'copy cat' posts are baseless. Like how every Hyundai design is connected to a hundred other designs, even though Hyundai currently has one of the best design talent in the world.

I for one hope that those of us who opted for the Pre Facelift model of the City will be able to swap the headlights for the new LED unit. This is obviously after making sure that the new unit has a better throw than the previous one.

But the new Facelift one had some freshness to it, Even today.
The facelift freshness is mostly psychological for consumers. You spot a 2013 City and then a prior facelift 2012 City, you first initial comparison will be old versus new, where the 'New' model is not much substantial in terms of actual freshness.

The Facelift is never intended to incorporate new major changes. The Primary purpose is to make the car still sell before an all new generation hits the market and for City, 5th gen is still 2 years away.

Let's hope Honda sorts few reliability issues with the new facelift and prepare for complete revamp in the 5th Gen.

re: Honda working on City Facelift. EDIT: Launched at Rs 8.5 lakhs

I might be swimming against the tide here but I really like this facelift. I think the front looks a lot more mature now and and am thankful they've toned down the chrome. The full LED headlamps are a mouthwatering option and I really hope they make it to India. I can't see any shots of the new alloys though, but am sure they'd be better than the current plain Jane design.
I think I can see a replacement in sight for my strong running 100k plus Punto

re: Honda working on City Facelift. EDIT: Launched at Rs 8.5 lakhs

Once it launches, I am planning to order the LED headlamps and fit it on my 2014 ANHC. I am however a bit skeptical whether swapping only the headlamp assembly will work since the design looks a bit different than the current one. But in my opinion the complete set including the grille should fit.
Another thing I am interested in is the new touchscreen unit for the ICE.
I didn't like the cheap looking rear lamps. So won't be swapping those.

That should convert my 2014 ANHC to the facelift version.

Honda, please make these parts available soon. You can still have long waiting periods on whole cars, just get me the parts.

I like the new design compared to the old one, especially the front looks great with a smaller chrome grill. Hope the facelift will have some added features too, especially a good AVN system.

I love this front. Less chrome looks good. Eagerly waiting for the launch to happen here. Dealers are still tightlipped.

Rather uninspiring facelift IMHO. It will however keep it fresh for the next 2 years. The rear has a bit of an aftermarket look and this works well with the younger crowd but i doubt the older generation will like it too much. I am surprised that they went for this look.

We don't have a lot of information on how the interiors on the Indian-spec are updated, but I get the sense this won't be enough to make City class-leading.

A decade back, the City was one of a kind in its segment. Now, there's enough competition and this effort doesn't do enough to resurrect the City's position.

I'd imagine the tilt is in favor of MTs for the Indian market.

The V variant should have been the entry variant; the S will not do the City any favor.

SV + is by far, the stupidest! Are those even differentiating features!! The SV should get those features.

Poor differentiation of features and specs between the variants. I honestly liked the variants on the '08 City: E, S and V. Far too easy and simple to fix one's priorities.

Honda isn't being "premium" enough and I hope this stinginess rightly bites them hard.
