It seems like they have discontinued the Koleos. It was reported a while back in TBHP. Must be stock clearance.

Off topic: The fluence is available with discount of 4.5L. The E4 is around 16.5 Ex Showroom. The discount will bring the E4 at 12L ex-showroom which seems to be a great deal!

Just checked the Renault website. The Koleos is not listed - which probably means that this deal is to clear all old stock.

Interestingly, the Lodgy is not listed too!

In case you check out the Dec Car Sales figure, it shows 45 Koleos sold/dispatched in Dec, which compared to less than two figure sales per month in the entire year seemed odd. Remember the sales figure is dispatch to Dealers by manufacturers.
IMO what Renault has done is cleared all the stock it had in its yard and dispatched it to dealers and a huge discount of 9 Lakhs is being offered.
Capacity utilization shift for Kwid manufacturing or what ?

When I checked last in 2015, The discounts were on 2014 inventory. That time the discount was 4.5L for 2014 and around 2L for 2015 models.

It's obvious that they still have those 2014 models, hence 9L discount, which is like passing depreciation to end buyer. The move would have been good if that would have been CRV and not Koleos.

The Team Bhp review in 2014 accurately predicted that this will not sell at this price point, especially considering the very limited rear leg room and the quality of the interior plastics. No wonder that they need to resort to such gimmicks to move their unsold inventory. I wonder whether these are 2014 or 2015 vehicles which they're trying to offload.

Got E2 Fluence (2014 model) in October 2015 at 13.40 on road, Bhopal. It entails a discount of about 4 lakhs.

I too purchased a fluence E4 diesel in Dec 2013, just before the 2014 auto expo in Feb when the face lifted fluence was launched. There were huge discounts due to year end and due to the impending facelift's launch. Got a good 4 lakhs discount along with a 3 year free insurance. It was too sweet a deal to let go off !

Weird looking, ugly, 7 years old and an on-road price of 30 lakhs. Any wonder that it flopped?

I wouldn't even buy it with a 9 lakh discount. If I was on a budget, I'd get the XUV500 AT. If I could spend more, the new Endeavour. There's nothing that draws me toward the Koleos.

Still wouldn't have sold. It's a very mediocre SUV.

Renault India had stopped production of Koleos since May 2015. So basically clearing old stocks. I dont remember seeing any Koleos on Mumbai roads, atleast in last couple of years. Good if they get rid of it from their line up. May be Pulse and Scala next in line.

As a Renault Customer, I have not spotted a Single Koleos in the showroom or the stockyard near Bangalore-Nelamangala(Massive open area held by Trident which holds stock of Hyundai, Renault, Chevrolet, Honda and ISUZU together), but only 1 in the Service Center way back in 2014 and now its a complete different story altogether.
By removing it from the line up they will do better in terms of managing their resources well. Scala is a better product than many but somewhere it lost due to the quirky styling and over ambitious pricing.
Now with Kwid in the picture they better have proper utilization of the available resources else it will be too late before the biggies(Read Maruti and Hyundai) respond to the challenge thrown at them from Renault (Refer the fate of Duster in the hands of Creta from Hyundai)
