Carwale says Baleno has a width of 1745 mm, while all available material on Brezza suggests a width of 1790 mm. Have I erred in suggesting these numbers, or does the Brezza 'feel' less in width due to some inherent aspect of the design? | |

| ![]() Vitara Brezza looks very promising, well proportioned and could be a sure shot hit in the market. Standard driver airbag is a positive move, but standard ABS+EBD wouln't be out of place in this car. If the price is slotted in between Ertiga and Ciaz, this car could soon become one of the best selling SUV's in India and God help S-cross then. Given the recent images with Breza on the road, this car with the DDiS 320 would also see healthy sales if Maruti manages to launch one. What never ceases to amaze is lack of petrol. With the petrol prices coming down plus emission saga, a petrol variant can be a magnet to get sales of a few hundred units more. K14B is upto the task IMO if not exhilarating, though it would mean the car is out of the 4m. length bracket. Ride quality and handling remains to be judged as is the market position w.r.t. pricing. These factors shall decide the commercial success IMO as the most formidable competitor IMO is EcoSport which is quite accomplished. At this point of time in the market, it seems Maruti is seriously hampered by lack of larger diesel motor. A 1.5 diesel would make for an excellent proposition not only for Brezza, but also for Ertiga and Ciaz. The earlier Maruti can overcome this deficit, the stronger it would be against the competition. Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Maruti claims an average of 24.3 kmpl for Brezza as per Autocar India. http://m.autocarindia.com/Article.as...form=hootsuite While reading this, I came across another link that shares the leaked brochure of Brezza. http://carsizzler.com/news-detail/00...l-details.html The sales team leader from local dealership has just informed me that bookings have started from today. Can anyone else confirm with their respective dealers? ![]() Last edited by BoneCollector : 7th March 2016 at 11:50. |

| ![]() That's a surprise. Both the cars have the exact same weight! I wonder how - is the Brezza more solid than the S-Cross considering the shorter length? Last edited by avdhesh15 : 7th March 2016 at 21:18. |

Infractions: 0/1 (7) | ![]() It was earlier mentioned by CV Raman, the design head of Maruti, that they had to modify the Swift platform extensively to accommodate the large wheel wells of Brezza. But during the Auto expo, Maruti mentioned that Brezza is built on Suzuki's global C-platform (which is same as that of SCross). If it is on the C-platform, there is not much to differentiate between SCross 200 and Brezza, other than the sub-4m length. But the extra width, larger tyres etc of the Brezza may compensate, to match with the weight with Scross, IMO. |
