Re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza @ Auto Expo 2016

Was at the Sai Service Andheri (E) Mumbai showroom yesterday evening. Blazing Red with Black top Vitara Brezza on display. First look, this is a much bigger Car than the described sub 4 M as per the specs! Are you sure this less than 4M? I mean specifications can be misleading. Commendable stance.

Below are few other observations -
1. Light plays a huge part on these metallic colors. This RED had a tinge of wine color.
2. Bonnet, visible from the driver seat. It is heavy and has full cladding inside. Surprisingly it does not have hydraulic lift and hold, one like Duster.
3. Seats, super comfy at the front and back. Needs a seat cover for sure.
4. Special Mention for the Tyres. If you look at the car from the back, especially the lower half; you feel its a super big SUV. Silver Scuff plates, different color bumper and WIDE Tyres! Reminds me of the X1's
5. The plastics felt good, not excellent.
6. Boot space looks bigger than what is on paper. Moreover it looks practical.
7. Rear Seats do fold down quickly and gives a flat bed.
8. Though this vehicle has remote entry, Stop-Start Button; the driver side door has a keyhole along with the request sensor.
9. Big disappointment was the Antenna. Long and thin one like the last gen Marutis. They could have atleast put the latest Swift antenna which is 5-6 inches in length.
10. The armrest on all the doors should have atleast some cushioning. Felt hard!

Only one car available now with them. No dates on the TD nor delivery.

I booked the car on the 2nd day just by T-BHP forum views and internet pics. I am sure not disappointed with the looks.

I took a test drive of brezza in chandigarh today.
First impressions:
Only the dual tone color scheme looks good. Single colour looks very boring.
Build quality is typical maruti ie light weight, the display vehicle driver side door won't shut properly even on multiple attempts till you give it a nice push.
The interiors are plain Jane and nothing exciting.
The engine was quiet and even standing outside it was not very noisy.
The short test drive was not adequate to comment on the drive but it was not very confidence inspiring or awe inspiring. Did not get that suv feel either which comes from high seating.
Overall an average car which will do well because of its good looks in dual tone and more because it's a maruti.

I visited Bimal showroom Whitefield Bengaluru with my colleague today. Blazing red and black roof dual tone car was on display. I can see lots of crowd waiting to test drive the car. I couldn't take it since I need to get back to office.
First Impressions:

Good stance. Looks like perfect compact SUV.
Build quality similar to baleno.
All black interiors except silver metal finish on dashboard.
Spacious legroom, headroom and boot as well.
215 R16 tyres looking awesome. But boring alloys.
Only ZDI + trim was on display.
On road price in bangalore for ZDI +dual tone is 1193003.

Overall good car. Well priced. Decent SUV.

On the contrary i liked the alloys. They were in a shade of grey unlike silver seen on many other cars.

7900 for accessories! I wonder what are they providing other than the usual basic stuff! Any insights on the same?

Re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza @ Auto Expo 2016

I did book the Brezza about 4-5 days ago in Red color Zdi variant but I haven't seen the variant and the color in person and neither have I taken the TD yet. The Yellow/White is what I have seen in ZDi+ variant and the same is yet not registered with the authorities for the TD.

My request to the members here is that if they have the opportunity to see a ZDi in person and can click some pics of the interiors mostly then that would be great.

Re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza @ Auto Expo 2016

The Maruti Vitara Brezza @ Auto Expo 2016-intro-pic.jpg

I visited Magic Auto, DB Gupta Road, Karol Bagh and took a test drive of a Brezza Zdi+ with all the body kit and accessories.

The showroom has 2 Brezza -- a Flaming Red/Black car was on display on the ground floor and a Mustard Yellow/White is available for TDs.

First Impressions:

The Brezza is a looker. Trust me it looks fabulous in flesh and has a proper SUV stance. I just loved it. It looks bigger than what it actually is which is a huge advantage in a country like ours.

Test Drive:

It was around a 3 km drive around Karol Bagh and as it is a busy marketplace couldn't go beyond 80 kmph,

The acceleration is typical Maruti and wasn't too different from a Swift or Dzire. (At present, I drive a Swift Vdi and a friend has a Dzire Vdi)

The view is commanding and you can see the bonnet till the end. Overall, the ride was smooth and satisfying.

Although, I felt the brakes lacked some bite but maybe that was because of the fact that it was a TD vehicle prone to abuse.

Interiors:

Everyone has been complaining about the interior quality and to be honest, I was neither overwhelmed or underwhelmed. In one word, the interiors are satisfactory.

Having said that, the space is brilliant. I am 6 feet guy with a heavy built and I found the interiors to be spot on.

The icing on the cake was that even after setting the drivers'seat to my comfort i.e. all the way back, when I went and sat on the back seat, there was about an inch of space still left between my knees and the seatback which is marvelous because that is just not possible in all the other cars I have (City, Santro, Swift).

I have driven my friends Ecosport extensively and trust me, when it comes to space, the Brezza trounces the compact SUV with the Blue Oval.

I also enquired about the auto IRVM and the sales guy told me that it can be fitted at the dealership for Rs.5350/- (which I will get for sure) and a stitched leather steering cover will cost Rs.1100/-. The Chrome lined window visors are for Rs.2200/- and the seat covers have a starting price tag of Rs.6900/- and go up to Rs.12,000/-

The waiting period for the Zdi+ is 6 weeks and the on-road price is Rs.10,83,744 for single tone paint and Rs.10,99,338 for dual tone paint.

The Zdi+ has silver roof rails, silver front bumper protector but the door handles are body coloured and not chrome unlike other top end Maruti cars.

Pictures have been clicked with a Xiaomi Mi3

The headlight are projectors with LED DRLs and Halogen bulbs. They have a black eyebrow element at the top.

The entire themed seat covers, mats and the body cladding as a package costs 29k in Bangalore.

I accompanied my friend to book a Swift at Bimal Showroom today. When the paper work was underway, we registered for the TD and got it for the hands on immediately.
Initial Impressions –
1. Turbo-lag is so much evident.
2. Better quality interiors than the swift.
3. Smooth gear shift.
4. Light clutch.
5. Stiff shock absorbers.
6. Less body-roll.
7. The Pricing is so competitive… that all other compact SUV’s need to change their pricing strategies (especially Creta).

Thanks for this info! I landed up in the showroom today and they had a red zdi+ and the dual tone makes it look real hot! Took a test drive too, the SA told me that 2 ppl managed to Bang the vehicle today, so he was reluctant to let it go out of the showroom and me to take a TD around the showroom :sly: . To which, I declined. Then I got to go for a long spin, things which were evident :
1. Turbo lag. It's all over, you cannot deny that.
2. Smooth gears.
3. Decent leg space at the rear not really that huge. But when compared to direct competitors it's certainly more.
4. Front two seats are brilliant, whereas the rear bench is so so.
5. Steering had a leather cover on, hence felt good. Else would be really flimsy.
6.Aircon is brilliant. Bangalore was scorching at 39 however brezza handled that with breeze.
7. Took a pocket road near mahadevpura which was in real bad shape, I must say the brezza took the bad patch really well! And I would certainly want that on Bangalore roads!

Posting a pic of red zdi+d but please spare me if this looks different than it does on the brochure

Re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza @ Auto Expo 2016

Maruti Suzuki joins IPL bandwagon to promote Vitara Brezza!

Maruti will join as ground sponsor for Vivo IPL 2016, and will have its branding placed prominently in stadia, on perimeter walls and on scoreboard.
Quote:
The ground sponsorship and association with IPL this year, a first for the company, will essentially be used to advertise the latest launch from its stable, the Vitara Brezza, Maruti’s first compact sports utility vehicle.
Quote:
positioning of the Vitara Brezza is in the glamour and performance space, which makes it an ideal association to reach those target audiences

Re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza @ Auto Expo 2016

At my place, Maruti has sent only 2 VDi variants. Yesterday, I got a call from dealership that the grey color one is available at showroom but since they're not aware about whether its a Demo/TD car or for sale, no test drives are planned as yet. I went to showroom just for the sake of checking onto the boot space and front and rear seat comfort. Like people have already pointed out, it doesn't look like a sub-4m car. It does suffice on the space front, what matters now is the drive. I'm attaching a few snaps, couldn't click properly due to bright sunshine and space constraints. Dad also checked the driver seat and was happy that he could see the end of bonnet like his first Maruti, an 800.

I've also uploaded the price list at my place. The extended warranty is not known to the showroom people so its not mentioned. And the glaring mistake of naming the car as Grand Brezza! My wait for ZDi+ continues.

Anyway, Happy Holi people. Enjoy the celebration of colors!!

Grey is the worst colour. Should have given something in green maybe, bright colours suit the style.
Any idea how much it will cost to make the roof black for normal variants outside the dealership?
Can the steering mounted calling features be retained on an HU upgrade?
Is the door unlock request button available for ZDi?
