I am a firm believer of run in period and i am following what bhp folks have recommended. An then there is one idling rule also for Diesel cars, which states that before driving a diesel car one should idle the car for few minutes daily. This helps the Turbo and the Engine in the long run. Let us follow what the experts tell us till we become expert our self. Regarding overtaking during run in period, yes it is not very easy and i am avoiding difficult maneuvers. However i have overtaken few on the highway with out raising the voice of the RPM meter. Actually once people see the car in rear view mirror some let you pass and enjoy seeing the car from all possible angles. Jitters and pangs you are getting due to negative feedback on the forum are going to vanish one you drive your own car. ![]()

| ![]() I saw a VDI Brezza at MS showroom and honestly thought the interior quality (dash etc) looked very ordinary, both in look and quality. Even the slightly cheaper Baleno (from my recollection) looked much better and richer. I think if Tata can produce some magic from the Nexon and get customer acceptance, it'll make a very credible competitor to the Brezzas and Ecosports. Basically high quality interiors, solid engine options, AMT options in diesel and petrol. All these could really create valuable differentiators. Last edited by Axe77 : 4th April 2016 at 10:11. |

| ![]() Had my first encounter with Brezza today. I was driving towards Jawahar circle from world trade park(Jaipur) when I noticed this white-yellow combination. Accelerated a little and caught with it. Honestly, reading previous posts I was expecting a bigger looking vehicle. It looked like a hatch from a distance. As I drove parallel noticed that the guy driving the Brezza was sitting quite lower than me (I was driving Freelander2). The Brezza driver seemed a happy guy as he gave me a big ear to ear smile. ![]() To make things interesting A white Creta joined us. Driving parallel to Brezza made up for a nice size comparison. Brezza sits lower than Creta, just a little lower. Those mighty wide tyres definitely enhance the looks. Attaching pics. ![]() ![]() |

If you look closely you can see that there are different design elements on steering wheel, dashboard, door panels, AC vents etc. More than 3 type of plastic elements are involved to break monotony from scratchy to plain to grainy. However I am sure plastic quality is not as good as you may find in Ecosport and Creta but then if Maruti had jacked up price by another 50K for high quality plastics we may have not found the car to be VFM.

| ![]() Honestly, given how much cutting corners Hyundai has done on the Creta, what the Brezza gives for a substantially lesser amount of money will be a very strong pull towards the latter. Product launches like Brezza and price cuts on products like the Ecosport really make the Creta's price seem more and more unsustainable (in theory at least). |

| ![]() ![]() New seat covers installed at the dealership. These were the best ones i could get at the dealer. Overall fitted well but the hook part behind the driver isnt aligned properly. I told them to do the correction. I guess it wont be as tight as factory fit. 9300/- including labour |
