Insane pricing! This should result in a road block when it comes to sales. Im disappointed with the announced prices. A 1-1.5L premium model to model would have been alright, not this!

Not a fair comparison between old and new top end models. Old car was pretty barebones 2.5L 105 odd hp manual. While the new top end is a feature loaded 2.8L 170 odd hp automatic.

I feel this is pretty good initial pricing from Toyota. Should help retain the sales as good as ever. Expect price hikes once the bookings cross an initial target too!

Any idea if this Ex-Mumbai price is excluding the Octroi? Remember that Skoda played that sly game when they launched the Superb. Octroi, which bumped up the price by 50-60K was excluded from the launch price.

Wow. That's quite some spread.
The difference between the lowest and highest ex-showroom price is a whopping INR 6,94,000.

Toyota are surely greedy with the pricing of the higher models.

I'm would say that this is fairly good pricing(for the lower models) for the massive leap the car has taken.

The G version is close to the W6 of the XUV 500 in Mumbai. (13,84,xxx for the Innova vs 13,25,xxx for the XUV 500)

The VX 2.8 AT is a whopping 3,00,000 more than the W10 AWD version.
(20,78,xxx for the Innova vs 17,80,xxx for the XUV 500)

Having said that, I think Toyota will keep prices in check this time. They're building an engine plant in Bangalore soon and they surely don't want to go too close to the Endeavour. The XUV will be competition. (But not though competition)

Good on Toyota for not skimping on some basic safety equipment in the lower models like Airbags, ABS+EBD and rear-wiper. What is really appalling though is that there is no Audio system in the GX?

Come on Toyota, a 15L+ vehicle (OTR) without an audio system is like a slap in the face to everyone who buys one. Even if this is targetting the taxi market (and the pricing does not reflect that) this is extremely cheap.

The pricing looks good and spot on, expected with the features on board. Only worry is 18 months down the line, pray they don't hike the price.

But then, the Endy pricing and subsequent Fortuner pricing will stop TKM from getting greedy with the Innova.

Ok. So the OTR for the ZX A/T will be north of 24L. That's putting it atleast 3L above the XUV W10 AT AWD. And feature to feature, they are both almost the same (The XUV is an AWD). So technically one pays 3L more for the Toyota reliability. Is that a fair reading?

I think extrapolating that probably means ZX A/T would retail in Mumbai at around 24.5-25 lakh I suspect - more than what the salesperson had estimated. Thats very close to where I would have expected it to be. I'm curious to compare where the 4x2 Endy would retail at in comparison. If it's within 5 - 6 lakh some customers may just cross-shop for the basic Endy.

Toyota has capitalised fully/to the max the name it had built for Innova. No other manufacturer earlier made such a jump in prices with a new model I guess. Can't squarely blame Toyota for this because as such cars like Creta, Scross were/are grossly overpriced. The thing is that Toyota is going to be making huge amounts of profits per Crysta sale.
Comparing with XUV, well doesn't really look worth to me. I mean XUV never lit the sales charts on fire, nor it is as refined to be pitted against Crysta. So ideally Crysta stands tall alone in the segment, so Toyota could afford to play with the pricing the way they did.

Could someone please post features viz variants. Does the smaller engine also have an Auto variant ?

So, New Innova in GX tream will cost only 1 lakh more compared to previous gen model of same trim.
