From the photos it looks like the launch and booking process is imminent. Does anyone have a definitive timeline for the bookings to start? The car does ooze road presence. I believe this car will be able to pull off all the colours it comes with. At the auto expo the Maroon was also commanding quite a presence.

From the pictures it appears that the driver has clicked the photographs from a moving car . I understand the thrill of spotting a car yet to be launched and pleasure of sharing such photos with other fellow enthusiasts. However, it is highly dangerous and not worth taking such a risk.

My birdie told me that bookings will officially start in April and deliveries will start from May.

maybe i am the only one who thinks otherwise. The big grill with 2 fat chrome strips looks ugly in the silver, in black it is a little palatable. Loved the lights though. The back though bulky is still okay.

From the pics it looks like the top end 2.8 Z varient, but at auto-expo we saw that 2.8Z varient had extra amount of chrome at front and back. Now were those just add on accessories? So there would not be anything on the exterior to differentiate 2.4 from 2.8?
Also are those just two parking sensors at the rear bumper? I think a reverse parking camera would be present in the top varient as it is equipped with 7" touch screen ICE.
Let's hope Toyota will give us a good package if not a complete package for the premium they demand on Innova.

If toyota prices the innova too high, it might rather encourage people to switch to the fortuner, and the innova might need to defend itself against the fortuner.

Alternately, they can push the fortuner to a higher price point and call it a Lexus?

Oh my my! This generation surely looks imposing. The front looks aggressive but the back is a little weird IHHO

I presume its the later would happen more likely since Toyota is coming up with the next generation Fortuner as well shortly !

Toyota has every reason to be greedy on every release since they have a great support from our patriotic Indians

Spotted a Maroon 2.4Z on the ring road here in Mysuru. Compared to the old Innova, the new one clearly has presence and does appear half a size larger (mainly due to longer overhangs). It seem to accelerate cleanly from stand still. Sorry, was driving and hence no pics.

Yes there are quite a few patriotic followers of Toyota especially the political class. I have spoken to few of them and they swear by Toyota and are ready and willing to pay the premium. I will still see good sales of the new innova irrespective of its pricing which I'm afraid will touch 25 lac rupees:banghead:

However, I feel the car looks a bit disproportionate; see the side profile.

Are the rear indicator lights not a little weird? The interior color combinations are not great too.

Overall it's looks like a great package provided Toyota gets the pricing right.

If you look closely the pictures are mirror images and have been shot from the passenger side.
