I tend to do mild rough road driving when at hill stations, beaches etc. and a lot of road shoulder driving. Used Aria in AWD mode permanently. A vehicle like this should have AWD.


Also dont need the last row seats and prefer a bench in the middle.

TATA seems to have come a long way in terms of quality in the last 5 yrs.

Hexa has all I missed in the Aria if it adds what I put in the previous post.

Hope the TUFF edition is available at launch and that they dont goof off the launch like with the Aria.

Endy comes closest to this in my view at 40% more price.

I am also eagerly waiting for Hexa. I am fine with existing varicor 400 engine and 6 speed gearbox along with all front facing seats.
I will be replacing my existing 8 years old Swift DZire VXI with Hexa.
I liked Aria and suits my requirement but didn't purchase even after 1 lac discount on Pure LX model for stock clearance as pure LX model lacks abs and airbags.
Somehow I didn't like xuv though they are offering lot of features. Whereas new Innova is not affordable.
If Hexa pricing is in line with Aria prices then I will book Hexa in first lot. I am very much fine with features similar to Aria pleasure model.

Yes, the Q501 and Q502 are supposed to be the true blue SUVs with off-roading capabilities. In fact, Tata Motors are branding them as AUV (Aspirational Utility Vehicle)

It looks like Hexa will indeed come with an AMT unit. Even Duster has an AMT unit. So, I guess it's all fine if Hexa also comes in with an AMT.

In Mumbai and Thane there were only couple of pure LX vehicles at dealer stock and that too July 2015 made. I spoke with Thane regional sales manager as well as Concorde Worli manager. According to them there is no vehicles at factory.
Now if at all there is confirmed news of Hexa launch in couple of months then I will wait else I may just pick Ertiga VXI or similar category vehicle for now. :(

Let's hope for launch news in couple of weeks!

Now you can first launch Hexa with Varicor 400 motor and later swap it with thoroughly tested sub 2,000 mill.
Once you introduce the sub 2-liter engine, you will be able to enjoy 1% amount as additional profit, which you don't have to pay to NGT in that case.

As a country & its courts, there will always be surprises. While the 2 liter ones are allowed to smoke tar to its full content by paying a "royalty" of 1% on the ex-showroom, its siblings <2 liters ones are expected to hold breadth. The judgement has a rider that this "royalty" could get extended to the siblings too at a later date.



Absolutely no scientific basis towards the ban & this sure caused a loss to the country's exchequer in terms of taxes lost for the duration of ban.

What is more intriguing is the fact that judgement was delivered on the appeal filed by Mercedes in the supreme court, while TATA moved just the NGT. Interestingly, at Kerala, we only have a stay order by the high court, while there is no total removal of the ban yet.

I guess Tata played a good waiting game anticipating some kind of relief from SC.
They didn't jump the gun quickly like Mahindra and seems the plan has worked out good for them.

Things are clear now! It is time for expediting the Hexa launch! Can we expect a Diwali dhamaka launch TML?

I don't think so. Most probably their next launch (Sept-Oct) is going to be Kite 5 sedan. They are targeting about 10-11k unit sales from Tiago-Kite twins. Hexa may come next, and Nexon mid next year.

I feel Tata should launch it when they are comfortable that all the basic niggles are sorted out in this car. After a long time, they are finally slowly turning their image over with the success of the Tiago. More than the VFM product, I am also happy that their have been no initial reported niggles in the car, something which had become a constant feature of their new launches. So I just hope they don't ruin things by launching the Hexa unless they have covered all the basic first.

At the same time there is no denying the fact that with the recent boost that the brand has achieved with Tiago should be a perfect time for launching the Hexa.
