Re: Tata Hexa @ Auto Expo 2016

Another thing I noticed from the Video is the slight "bounciness" of the rear when it was going over the undulating section at the junction.
I am hoping it is something just visible on the outside, and that it doesn't imply a Verna-esque feel on the highway?

Does anyone have clear idea on the launch dates? I believe the dealers' training is underway.

Here comes the confirmation info:

1) Media activities to start from October 2016.

2) First drive of the Tata Hexa scheduled for third week of October 2016.

3) Launch in the first half of November 2016.

IAB

My birdies had suggested an early October launch (during Dusshera days) for the Hexa, about a month back. Seems like the dates got shifted due to some last-minute production/supplier issues.

That appears to be a massive undulation on the road. If you notice the wagon R nearby also does the highway jiggle. There are a few of these undulation which are hard to notice along the highway and by the time we reach it, its time to dance the dance.

Re: Tata Hexa @ Auto Expo 2016

Rush Lane's anonymous sources who have already driven the Hexa, have claimed that Hexa is the best Tata car made till date.

Those who have driven the Hexa already, on the condition of anonymity, reveal that Hexa is the best Tata car made till date. Be it design, performance, stability, refinement, etc, Hexa excels benchmarks in every department. This makes us even more excited ahead of the test drives scheduled for next month.
Meanwhile, somewhere near Pune, with the Toyota Fortuner in it's sights.

Possibly last-minute final checks.

Re: Tata Hexa @ Auto Expo 2016

Tata has finally developed a decent product which can be compared AT-PAR with competition

Reading the scoops in various sources HEXA seems to be great product which can change TM image in car market

Right now only thing which everything hangs on is pricing if done it properly they can hit home-run with both Private & Rental market (Considering Crysta's prices - Don't bash me but IMO Toyota's reliability card should not convert to such prices)

Although compact SUV market has go ballistic there is still good demand for 7 seater family car's

shout out to Expert's here - Any indication of prices??

Speculations say it would be priced on par with XUV / under cut XUV by 25000/- at the max.

Some websites predict the price in the range of 11-18 lacs.

Seriously, that would be actually sensible. But I am sure reality is going to be far from it.

You may ask why? Because of the below
Considering that the folks at Tata prefer to compare XUV with Storme and Scorpio with Sumo, they would assume that Hexa is definitely at a much higher premium and maybe compete with vehicles (> 20 Lacs)

Maybe I am a pessimist, but this is what all my interactions with Tata would have me believe.

Though I am hoping that better sense prevails and a good product does not get killed due to extraordinary pricing.

Cheers!

The answer lies in the previous pages of this thread:

Expect introductory pricing to be delicious.

Hey thanks for pointing it out, appending here again

The 1.9L variants might be in the range of 9.99L - 11.39L mark

If they really stick by this, the 11.39/1.9L top variant?

Then this would be the Usain Bolt amongst all in this segment and bring in all the gold that is to offer.

Cheers!

Re: Tata Hexa @ Auto Expo 2016

I would definitely be interested in the Hexa if the pricing is in this range. Creta is too costly. Crysta is too costly. XUV 500 has been around for some time now, and it's a little too burly for my taste.

Hexa looks macho as well as elegant. I have seen one right in front of me while driving back home from office (in Pune) and it looked majestic. I just loved the road presence. Definitely a head turner. And all this despite the body cladding that it had.

One can only hope that Tata would be able to deliver the cars on time going by the fiasco that the Tiago is experiencing (I have booked one).

But if the product is good, I'm going to sign the cheque when the time comes. I'd rather buy a well priced underdog than an overpriced champion!

With all the price rumors floating around. Something tells me this going to be a repeat of the creta thread before it was launched!
Relax and wait for the launch guys. If you have unrealistic expectations you are bound to get really disappointed.
With its current size, engines and equipment levels, I really doubt Tata will launch the hexa at that price!
Of course, I'd love to see them do that.

Re: Tata Hexa @ Auto Expo 2016

9.99L to 11.39L is unbelievable. The top end would easily cost over 15L for sure. The car sure looks well built and loaded with features. Why would anyone expect TATA to sell it at the price of an archaic looking Duster (It is a no nonsense car nevertheless) ? This is a full size bigger, has more seating capacity, massively better interior quality, more features and above all, a bigger engine. Do not expect to get a decently loaded Hexa anywhere below 15L.
