Big shoutout to Aditya for shooting these pictures & his coverage of the Auto Expo. Thanks for sharing, man!
Jaguar Land Rover showcased the all-new XF at the 2016 Auto Expo.
This car now gets adaptive full-LED headlights + LED DRLs:
A new black signature grill, new bumper and more pronounced bonnet lines:
The car uses an aluminium-intensive architecture and is now lighter than its predecessor:
It now measures 4,954 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, 1,457 mm in height and has a 2,960 mm. Its kerbweight is 1,555 kg:
New chrome garnish around the side vents:

A closer look at the interiors
The dashboard is redesigned. Gone is the soft touch opening glovebox:
It now gets the XJ-like steering wheel:
It is electrically adjustable:
New seats look premium for sure:
It gets a new 10.2" touchscreen audio system with navigation and a 17-speaker 825W Meridian sound system. Different layout for the climate control buttons. Notice the engine start / stop button:
Centrally-mounted rotary gear selector:
Cupholders + electric handbrake and the All Surface Progress Control:

The all-new XF's extra 15mm of legroom and 24mm of knee room. Still Aditya wasn't impressed:
It gets a 4-zone climate control system and heated rear seats:
540L boot space:
This will have a tough time competing with the E class, Benz has upped the game in the segment and Jaguar is just barely there. There seems to be a whole load of surfaces that are fingerprint magnets. The yellow seat fold handles look really cheap and in one of the reviews, the thing actually fell off. Jaguar has a long way to go before they battle the German trio on numbers.
Thanks S2 for this insightful thread :thumbs up
The new XF has been in my radar since its reveal last year & the major wow factor for me is the 700 NM torque rating from the 3L Diesel :D
Last i checked i got to know that they are planning festive '16 launch, Is there any confirmation of the launch month ?
Still disappointed with the interiors. The only reason I didn't buy the last one was the basic interiors. Didn't have the luxury feel or look. This time round too the XF interiors are really ordinary when compared to A6 / 5 series / E class. I don't understand why they can't give this car as much attention as the XJ which has really cool interiors.
Any affirmative update on the launch date / month? Sales guys at JLR says October-November ?
The 2016 Jaguar XF has been spotted while being transported on a flatbed by a Motor Octane reader.
A search on Zauba reveals that 2 units of the XF, powered by the 2.0L Ingenium diesel unit, have been imported for homologation purposes - one is the Prestige variant while the other is the Portfolio variant.
The powerplant produces 177 PS of power & 430 Nm of torque, and is paired to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
The XF is speculated to be launched in India by late-2016/early-2017.

2016 Jaguar XF (X260) imported in India for R&D purpose
Thanks to the Team-BHP fan (he prefers to remain anonymous) who sent this information in. Heartfelt gratitude for sharing it with fellow enthusiasts!
2 CKD Units of the 2016 Jaguar XF, codenamed as the X260, have been imported in India for R&D purpose. Records on
Zauba show that two new XF models, each in petrol and diesel, have been imported along with many parts of the second-gen sedan. These imports suggest that Jaguar India might soon launch the all-new 2016 XF in the country.
The 2016 Jaguar XF is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine, that churns out 180 BHP of power @ 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 431 Nm @ 1,750-2,500 rpm. This engine is mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox.
The petrol XF gets a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine, which is capable of generating 238 BHP and 340 Nm of torque. It comes with a 6-speed ZF automatic gearbox. A 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol is also on offer in the international markets, though Jaguar India is highly unlikely to bring this option here.
Built on an all-aluminium architecture, the new Jaguar XF is around 200 Kgs lighter than the models. The wheelbase has been extended by 51 mm, but the overall length has been reduced by 7 mm by limiting the front and rear overhangs. The XF gets boot space of 540 litres.
Changes on the outside are subtle, as the new Jaguar XF gets a redesigned front bumper, hood and adaptive LED headlights with the company's characteristic J-blade Daytime Running Lamps. The taillights two have been tweaked a bit, and appear to be inspired by the Jaguar F-Type. A blacked out insert in the rear bumper houses the dual exhaust pipes.

Folks, from a reliable source (one of the dealer-principal of JLR cars) I have come across the news that the next-gen XF (X260) is getting launched on the 12th of July and will initially come in 2.0 Diesel and 2.0 Petrol variants with diesel getting Pure, Prestige and Portfolio variants while the Petrol coming only in Prestige and Portfolio.
No news on the 700 nm diesel XFS or any "S" or "R-Sport" variant. Sad news for anyone including me who was desperately eyeing a 3.0L diesel. Still left with only two choices in the segment if anyone wants a 3.0L diesel. What a bummer (pun intended).
Owing to downfall in demand of diesel cars, Jaguar also imports MY2017 XF Petrol for homologation.
Powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder petrol engine capable of 238 BHP @ 5500 RPM and a maximum torque of 340 Nm @ 1750-4000 RPM. Power delivered to rear wheels via 8-speed automatic gearbox. 100 km/hr comes up in good 7.0 seconds and boasts a top speed of 248 km/hr.

I wish the interiors were as good as the exteriors! Infact I find interiors on almost all new Jaguar pretty pedestrian or average at best.
Rumour: 2016 Jaguar XF India launch this month
Recent media reports suggest that Jaguar is planning to launch the refreshed XF sedan in India in the second half of August 2016. At this year's Auto Expo, the British automaker had revealed its plans to launch three new products in the Indian market. Jaguar XF India specifications revealed
Jaguar has revealed the specifications and variants of the upcoming new XF sedan on its India website. According to the details revealed, the new XF will be available in India in three variants - Pure, Prestige, and Portfolio.
All three variants will get a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that will churn out 177 BHP and 430 Nm of torque. Jaguar claims that this engine is capable of propelling the XF from standstill to the 100 km/h mark in 8.1 seconds. In addition to the aforementioned engine, the Prestige and Portfolio trims will also get a 2.0-litre petrol engine that develops 237 BHP and 340 Nm of torque. The XF petrol can do a 0-100 km/h sprint in 7 seconds. All variants will be equipped with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, which will transmit power to the rear wheels.
The XF will also get the 'Jaguar Drive Control' feature that provides four different driving modes - Standard, Eco, Dynamic or Rain/Ice/Snow mode. This allows the driver to alter the characteristics of the steering wheel, throttle response, and gearshift speeds depending on the driving conditions and requirements.
In terms of features on offer, the XF Pure will come with an eight-inch touch screen, 17-inch alloy wheels, bi-functional xenon headlamps and 10-way electronically adjustable front seats. The Prestige trim will add perforated leather seats and a memory function for the driver seat. The top-end Portfolio variant gets 14-way electronically adjustable front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, and LED headlights.
The Jaguar XF will compete against the likes of the BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6, and Volvo S60.

Now
Autocar India reports the second-generation XF launch to be scheduled for September 2016.
The all new XF. Checked out around a couple of weeks ago. Launching on 22nd September finally after lots of modifications in launch dates. Must say Sir Ian Callum did a good job with this one. Looks really premium inside out, just hope they price it sensibly
