Toyota has unveiled the "Toyota Connect" cloud-based telematics system in India.

Toyota Connect is a fully-integrated cloud-based telematics service platform supported by a new dedicated call-centre and it's also integrated with Toyota’s dealer network & service providers. Toyota car owners will be able to access Toyota Connect through a smartphone application. Services will commence from mid-2016.

Through the app, Toyota customers can use features such as 24x7 assisted navigation and live traffic information, 24x7 GPS location based road side assistance, online maintenance appointment booking, live check of service progress, e-payment etc. With this unveiling, India becomes the 11th country in global Toyota operations to launch the telematics service.

Thanks for the update Tushar. I own Fortuner 4x4AT and use it extensively for business and leisure touring.

With better road networks, individuals and families are travelling longer distances by road, often during night times as well.

Further owners of Innova n Fortuner clock even more miles per year and tend to visit mofussil areas where local assistance in case of breakdown would be difficult to arrange.

Another step towards reinforcing consumer trust towards Toyota which must be complimented.
