| ![]() I guess its because of the too-close-to-comfort photo for a big car, which creates an unpleasing impression. Lets wait till we see it in flesh. If the car is huge, it may be able to carry the grill aggressively. |

Internationally it is expected to get the 1.4L turbojet engine and going by the Vitara performance the S Cross will be more than acceptable in performance rather than the looks. In India this is not expected to come any time soon,

| ![]() One thing I like about Suzuki designs is that they usually don't go for the "Suzuki family face" for their models. That means most of the models have their own identity within the Suzuki stable. Compare that to manufacturers whose models starting from 3L to 30L have the same / similar front fascia - confusing at times, and become boring too soon. |

| ![]() Looks like they have done the right thing where they have lifted up the bonnet instead of the pointy one they have now. Gives it a butch look and not the hathback/minivan kind of look they have currently. Maybe the grill is a little outlandish and hopefully it would look better |

| ![]() Looks much better than the current one IMHO. Now looks like a proper pseudo SUV crossover. The front one in black in the three car line up looks very good. You can almost mistake it for a previous generation X1. Always a good thing when a car can be compared with something 3x its price. Dark alloys will make this car look even better. S-Cross always had great dimensions. Within a couple of inches of the Creta in all dimensions and with this butch-ing up, my prediction has that Maruti has another winner on their hands. See this close the sales gap with Creta from 3:1 currently. Maybe Maruti can shatter another myth along the way. That of a "flop" nameplate never succeeding in its second inning in India. |

| ![]() Contrary to the feeling that is running on this thread - I am sure the face lift will work wonders and most of the public will love it. S-Cross used to looks just like a car. There was no differentiation factor in looks compared to Honda Cities and Hyundai Vernas - except for the increased ground clearance. With this new face it actually looks like a Crossover vehicle, and not just elongated hatchback. |

| ![]() I somehow have this feeling that they would remove the all wheel disc brakes when this facelift is launched in India. Among the three standard safety features - ABS, the airbags and disc brakes, the disc brakes are the most inconspicuous and wouldn't cause any flutter and they can save those few thousands. Hyundai did that with the i20 eariler! |

| ![]() Suzuki, I can give you some free pictorial advice on how to make SCross look more SUV'ish, instead of copying from other brands. Last edited by romeomidhun : 1st July 2016 at 15:56. |

But the grill on new one looks like mini-Scorpio. And it doesn't seem to gel well with the rest of the car. But I would still consider it better than existing one.

| ![]() On a lighter note, did they hire somebody from Mahindra? The earlier design looked so much better and I hope with this change, they drop the price by another lakh. |

BANNED | ![]() I think it looks nice. But in my humble opinion I vastly prefer the first editions usually to all the facelifts, especially in Indian cars. Because with each passing facelift, all they do is to add to the tasteless bling factor that seems to be preferred by most Indian consumers. This one however looks a bit Jeep-ish so it may pass muster... ![]() For the record I love the first edition Yeti which I have. As compared to all these new face lifted editions flying around. Those round oddball fog lamps added to its cutely ugly appeal... Last edited by shankar.balan : 1st July 2016 at 19:04. |

| ![]() I find that only the grills are looking ghastly. The headlamp cluster in fact looks better in the facelift. In fact, that was the only thing that needed a facelift. Rest all was good |

| ![]() Even I feel except for the grill, the car overall has better stance and looks compared to the current version. The funny thing is MS replaced the good looking grill in the current international version with a dumb India specific one. What will they do now? 1. Keep the chrome one as they feel Indians will love the additional chrome. 2. Keep it even worse ( cant really think how ) ![]() 3. Improve upon this? |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() I think the toothy grille will be revised for our market. I like the new bonnet lines. Wish they'd donde something about the stance. A higher stance would have done wonders for its market perception. With all the pseudo cross flooding the market, Indians think that crossover is a fancy term for'hatchback with black cladding'. Looks are supremely important, more so than actual off-road ability. |
