Even the last snap looks to be of a lower variant. The lower variants seem to have a double barrel headlight setup with projectors for low Beam and normal halogen for high beam, like Brezza/ Ciaz.

Thanks for the snaps. Now we get to see the Zeta also which makes the most sense as well as VFM.

The only 'Nexa' in my city had it's opening on 30th September. The new S-Cross is yet to reach them, expected around 12th October.

This would have been a gaff if attempted. One good aspect about Maruti is that they are marketing it as a crossover rather than as an SUV. Which is the reality.

Any attempt to play the SUV card would seem pretentious.

The car in the flesh has more presence, just saw it at the Mumbai nexa showroom lower parel, they have displayed it just next to the outgoing SCross itself for any easy explanation to the question, "what's the difference between the old and new one ?".

The car displayed is in the nexa blue and looks
great as well, OTR Mumbai is 13.6 for top end trim.
Really liked the leather interior that the top variant comes with and the leather wrapped steering. Wait periods are about 30 days from booking.

I happened to look at a S-cross in a Nexa showroom and the car looks great in its new avatar. Much much better compared to the old version and is even more value for money with the SHVS.

Definitely great design by Maruti Suzuki - and should sell more than the earlier version. The lack of petrol engine is a bummer and like the others have pointed out in this forum, even the 1.4 Petrol would have been enough. They could have replaced the 1.6 Diesel with the 1.0 Boosterjet, which they anyway import for Baleno

Thanks for clarifying that. Your post reminded me to check if the Nexa Blue of the Ciaz is the same as the blue color of the Baleno, apparently its not.

For some reason I thought the blue color of all Nexa cars was the same.

BTW you could have posted a different pic of my car, its quite dirty in that one

Tailgate mounted spare wheels are a thing of the past. Almost all SUVs whether hardcore ones like the T-fort or the cross overs like the Tiguan or Kodiaq have all done away with this. In fact I don't see any new SUV with the spare wheel mounted on the tailgate, except the ecosport and some M&M products. It's highly inconvenient, obstructs rear vision, and doesn't solve any purpose apart from enhancing the looks a bit.

Checked out the new S-cross yesterday. The car design is just mesmerising. To put it in different words, for me it’s love at first sight.

I feel zeta is the most vfm. RM also comfirmed as of now most of the bookings are for this variant followed by Alpha. Exteriorly it’s only the headlights that help differentiate between zeta and alpha. Interior differences in a later post.

Here are the pics of the zeta. Not clicked the alpha as it can be seen everywhere on the internet.

Also sharing the prices at Nagpur. Deliveries to begin before dhanteras. They are quoting a standard waiting period of 4-6 weeks as of now.



Not to mention that I’ve booked the zeta (nexa blue). Test drives haven’t started. RM promised to bring both variants to my place for my folks to see and test drive.

I have the Nexon 1.5xz+(glasgow grey) booking with me. I have done a couple of long test drives with it. Also sat at the rear while a friend was driving. Will be posting comparisons along with booking experience in a detailed post after test driving S-cross.

Can someone please post the interior pictures & pictures of the tail lamps of Zeta variant. Want to see how the non-LED tail lamps & non-leather clad steering, seats & gear lecer look.

Maruti Suzuki has taken the Nexon very seriously & that's why they have added the equipment in Zeta while still pricing it below the 10 L barrier so that it gives tough competition to the Nexon XZ+ variant. Both cars look attention grabbing but what makes me confused is that where has the 0.3 meter gone in S-Cross compared to the Nexon.

Needless to say waiting for the Team-BHP review of Nexon, Verna, Kodiaq along with S-Cross (if possible).

Baleno has two blue shades: Urban Blue and Ray Blue. Ray blue looks similar to Nexa Blue, but is not the same.

The headlights of the lower variant look great now. Very similar to a BMW. Good that they have included projectors. But the headlight on the Alpha doesn't look so good with that DRL and the black detailing.

This is a big change from the old model without projectors where the reflector was humongous and car looked a bit like a Slow loris. Alpha was better off then.

The headlights look sharp now. All it needs is a bit of masking on top. Like the ABS plastic eyelids seen on the Laura. Pete's sell it over here and makes the car looks sharp from the front.

Hopefully someone will release it for the S-Cross soon. Martinek Auto ABS plastic eyebrows
