The grille somehow reminds me of the previous version Hyundai Sonata Gold version (2004 or 2005). To me, but for the chrome strip surrounding the grill, it will look just fine.

Wow, this facelift has certainly put us BHPians to two extreme love/hate camps! I, for one, quite like the new front end treatment and definitely prefer this over the current version. The current front looks too demure and doesnt stand out at all. Of course, all that hideous chrome needs to be blacked out and you've got yourself one handsome looking car. My current ride, a Punto, is nearing 1 lakhs kms and 7 years, this facelifted S-Cross looks like a good potential replacement whenever it is launched in India!

The Ciaz has a simple and elegant grill. Suzuki could have used that grill on the S-cross. I hope we also get the new colors into the Indian market.S-cross has a green color in the international market and we should get that as well. At the moment in India the choice of colors on the S-cross is quite limited.

Also, is this facelift going to be launched in the Indian market in 2016 or is this facelift only for the international market?

"Turbo Only" Engines for new Scross SX4 restyling:
• 1.0 #boosterjet (Only 2WD)
• 1.4 #boosterjet (Only #4WD #Allgrip )
• 1.6 DDiS (2WD or 4WD Allgrip).

Question remains - Is the facelift coming with boosterjet in India?

Revealed completely - SX4 S Cross in Italy. India launch likely in late 2017, testing seem not yet commenced. Petrol Engine is still a speculation. If Maruti can give the Baleno the 1.0L boosterjet, why not for S Cross?

The Vitara ( Nexa) is rumored to get the 1.4L boosterjet in India. ( Suzuki dealer info)

Lol! I guess some people will need to swallow their words now.

Finally a proper pic and I'd say, game is still on. The drooping nose and the sober face long gone, I think Maruti Suzuki has a fair chance against the Creta if this comes to our market with the right engine options.

Styling is a mix and match from many cars, but atleast now it won't be a deal breaker for the masses.

The above picture tells that the new model is not completely a downer, but the vertical slats doesn't gel well with the wide and low-slung nature of the car.

Modified with a horizontal chrome grill.

Ahh! The car grows on one. With the latest pics, I am happy; the car looks handsome! Even the horizontal grill looks really cool. Grill, definitely is something which can be tweaked in a 100 ways, so I'd never fret over a bad grill design.

Every time I look at the face, I couldn't stop admiring the lower bumper design and the beauty of it. Honestly, I get so smitten that the grill gets over looked.

My only worry is Maruti tweaking the power delivery of the 1.6 to make it linear (like what they did to the Swift 2nd gen). That'd take the aura away from the 1.6. Hope they understand those who buy the 1.6 is not the FE "awe" guys and leave it the way it is.
