From the look of it ... seems like its going to have a deep boot.

Pricing ... there is no space left for the diesel.. unless the Accent CRDi prices are slashed drastically... or the car discontinued...

Gr8 pix Mad Monkey!

ram; who told you that? I had teh older santro and newer Xing and live in Kerala and havet come across taht problem ever ( in 5yrs!)

Steer! you just compared a 10lac plus car with a 8-9lac car! Verna is to be positioned below Elantra ( with City/Aveo/Fieta etc).

now; old accent with be in teh Petra/Esteem/Baleno territory and Verna at 7lac plus territory.

Fiesta 1.4's gonna have a bad time.

Isnt this the same as the 2007 accent?
http://www.hyundaiusa.com/vehicle/ac.../gls4door.aspx
I guess they want to continue selling the old accent, and some extra sales for the new model name.

Nice pics Monkey.

I am not a fan of it's exteriors but am impressed with the interiors of the Verna. Seems spacious and neat, only a few wood inserts would add to the touch but nonetheless its in league or maybe better than the NHC interiors.

Forget the prices and segments for a while and look at the numbers - doesnt the '7-9' lakh car seem upto the comparo?

!!! very promising.
And I see heavy discounts on Aveo and Fiesta. And I see Baleno being relaunched.

But please Hyundai, dont call this car better than a Merc by doing a comparo with an S-class!

Hi,

May be you are right about this but today when a friend of mine went to Bhagat ford they had a big poster of limca book of records and the sales guy told me they have booked 20 fiestas today may be this is a plus point of fiesta as people want economy now days specially the ones who dont go on highways much.

I like the grille, this one is definately copied from the old toyota yaris. copycats??? i think so. but the thing to watch is the pricing of this car. this car seems to have the potential but should be priced at a sweet price point.
