re: Honda WR-V (Jazz-based crossover). EDIT: Unveiled!

Honda exports prototypes of Jazz crossover (2FM) to Japan

It has been known for quite some time now that Honda is working on a Jazz based crossover project, which has been internally codenamed as '2FM'. Now, a Zauba search shows that the automaker has exported multiple early prototype models of the Jazz crossover to Japan.

Interestingly, the export sheet also shows that Honda has prepared various versions of the Jazz crossover prototype. The exported models are powered by either a 1.2-litre or a 1.5-litre engine. Moreover, the prototypes have been developed in various variants, as Honda's trim level nomenclature (S, V, VX) are clearly visible on the Zauba export records.

re: Honda WR-V (Jazz-based crossover). EDIT: Unveiled!

So, can we expect this vehicle with both 1.2L and 1.5L engines in India ? I really doubt whether Honda is going to give 1.5L Jazz to India.

The 1.5 mentioned above is the diesel one(you can see the DE versus PE for the 1.2). Yes, I don't think that we will see the 1.5 i-VTEC.

re: Honda WR-V (Jazz-based crossover). EDIT: Unveiled!

The front grille of the WR-V (Jazz-based crossover) has been leaked.

Honda WR-V (Jazz-based crossover). EDIT: Unveiled!-hondawrvjazzcrossfrontgrille.jpg

The honeycomb section on the lower part of the grille suggests that the WR-V will look very different from the Jazz, when launched. The rest of the front section seems to be identical to Honda's premium hatch.

The Honda WR-V should be launched in India sometime next year.

Built on the Fit/Jazz platform it will have an exclusive front and more robust, new rear design and high suspension.

For Brazil -
Quote:
It will be a level below the HR-V, which brings under the hood just 1.8 flex engine with 140 horsepower and it costs between R$ and R$ 78,700 99,200. Proof of this is that the WR-V will be equipped with the same 1.5 16V of 116 cv used by Fit – the new 1.0 turbo should be for the next generation of the minivan and the SUV.

Caught on camera during a testing run. Gives us a good look at it's lights and front section.

Also, it's supposed to be called the Jazz Twist.

re: Honda WR-V (Jazz-based crossover). EDIT: Unveiled!

Honda Jazz-based crossover WR-V official sketch leaked.

Smallest model in the family of SUVs, the WR-V is based on the Jazz/Fit and is positioned below the HR-V. Developed by the research and development team of Honda Cars in Brazil, the small utility intends to broaden the participation of Honda in the marketplace segment wise.

Quote:
Likely to be called the Honda WR-V; a latest set of spy pictutres revealed online confirm that this new model will share most of its bits with the Jazz. It seems to be more like a cross-hatch version of the standard Jazz and is expected to take on the Hyundai i20 Active, Fiat Avventura and Toyota Etios Cross. A heavy covered test-mule suggests Honda will tweak the front and rear styling as well in order to differentiate it from the standard Jazz.
Quote:
The crossover will get the same engine and gearbox options as the standard car. These include the 88.8bhp 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, borrowed from the Brio, and the 98.6bhp 1.5-litre Earth Dreams i-DTEC diesel engine like on the City and the Mobilio. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a CVT gearbox for the petrol motor; the diesel unit is mated to a six-speed manual.

re: Honda WR-V (Jazz-based crossover). EDIT: Unveiled!

Great that Honda has decided to launch the W-RV, but what I am concerned about is the price. I guess the Brio based BR-V tops out at around 15L on the road so just wonder what this one will be priced at.
