Yes, it's not MQB. But the international Rapid is a lot different inside out compared to ours. There are a lot of changes on that which we will not be getting.

The second pic looks to be of the one with a Black Package. That should definitely look cool, especially if they have one with Black colour.

P.S: I was at the Skoda dealership at Wagholi, Pune today and the guys there were not aware of the facelift coming, atleast not the Service Advisers. However, he hinted that the Fabia could be coming in 2017. Not sure about that one though.

Next week there would be Training & then they will get to know about this New Rapid. We know almost everything before them, that's the Benefit & Effect of Team BHP

New Fabia in 2017, that would be great if they indeed bring it. Looks like SKODA will concentrate on Rapid till April 2017 & post GST implementation, they might bring in New Fabia after evaluating new tax structure. I will definitely be in que for Fabia despite Horrible Image of SKODA, because it's a "Simply Clever" car.

Undoubtedly, the Skoda cars are one of the best in our market with their refreshing, modern & up to date designs, I've liked most of them too but what about after sales service support.
The desirability quotient for Skoda cars is too high even today but horror service stories have made many of its seekers to back off.
Btw, what is the status of their After Sales service now, specially for Rapid as it is a highly localised & locally manufactured car, so expecting reasonable cost of service, spare parts & their easy availability.

Have been using rapid for about 3 years. Their after sales support seems to be quite good now, at least in my city. I've heard similar upswing from other members too.

Trust me! horror stories can happen with any car and at any dealer. IMHO, it is more of dealer specific than brand and I do appreciate the point that manufacturers must have a weighty control over dealers.

Service costs are acceptable given the fact that it requires servicing only once in a year/15,000 KMS.

My brother, who's yet to decide on which car to buy, received a call from Skoda dealership. He was told that no major updates except for the increase in ground clearance, other than the touchscreen and the front fascia .
The guy on the other end was part of a 2day training workshop.

I don't think Skoda will raise the price of the facelifted Rapid, only the discounts will vanish. Else the sales numbers would continue to be as for the current version.

Looks like Skoda have taken the family look too far. Earlier the rear and the sides were Vento but now even the front looks like Vento. Change the skoda grill to VW one and voila!

Those headlights with the black accents (and DRLs?) look really nice and I must admit, the Rapid after having shed the all the curves looks sharp just like the others in the family.
