Plus, it comes with standard equipment of advanced safety features including the Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS) collision-mitigating system that features a monocular camera and laser sensor to detect pedestrians and vehicles ahead, as well as SRS curtain airbags and front seat SRS side airbags.

Guys please look at the parts which I have highlighted in Bold, do you see an opportunity here? The current Dzire which has the AGS and the up coming swift which might have the AGS, both can be retrofitted with paddle shifters by ordering them from Japan . It will be just about giving a try, at the end of the day paddle shifters are just switches like the plus/minus sign on the gear lever of an automatic.

They just raised the taxes on Hybrids, I don't think they have any intention on subsidising hybrid models.

Will Maruti launch the Booster jet version along with the bread (1.2 petrol) and butter( 1.3 Diesel) engines at the same time or we would have to wait for a later launch of the Booster engine as like the Baleno?

As far as Boosterjet engines go, my understanding is that Baleno is the first and last car to get it within next five years.

Do you have any inside information which says that the booster jet will be a Baleno only specific engine. I was hoping for the next gen Swift to come with the turbo charged engine as the current engine doing duty in the Swift is more than 5 years old tech.

I do not have definitive inside information but my sources in Suzuki say that Suzuki is looking ahead to next 10 years and Indian legal requirement of meeting 2030 EV targets. Turbo engines of this nature are just not good enough to meet the emission targets. Diesel anyway is going to die off or definitely taper down in Automotive passenger vehicles by 2020 with the quantum jump to BS VI. I do not know exact Suzuki roadmap, but engine is definitely not their strong suite. Maybe Toyota will come into picture there.

Will this swift be still BS IV or BS V? Interestingly if diesel is about to be tapered down by 2020, does it make any sense to buy a diesel car in 2017? I am looking for a new car and diesel was not fully ruled out from my end.
Another question is on the rear seat legroom. Will it be similar to huge one like new DZire?

Hitachi to supply compact lithium-ion battery to Suzuki Swift Hybrid.

The lithium-ion battery module features high performance and highly reliable battery cells combined into a single unit with a voltage detection substrate for detecting voltage in the battery cells. This made it possible to reduce the weight by 35 percent (compared to the previous product by Hitachi Automotive Systems) and lower its height by 37 percent.

Seats on the latest Suzuki output is using a bucket model and comes with a Sport emblem on the headrest. Then on the layout of dash here is also a difference that is displayed nuances that are made more sporty with a mixture of dark colors and red streaks in some sectors.

the driver area is also filled with a variety of buttons that serve as access features and audio devices. Also visible on the speedometer is designed with digital and analog instruments so that shows the impression of this car sophistication

Sir the last image would not be of the upcoming model but of the existing Swift. At least going by the AC ducts. Request that image to be edited out.
