Oh absolutely.

This thread should exist, but the official review should have a prominent mention of this, as it will get more views longer-term from people looking for information on Kaptur.

re: The Renault Captur SUV. EDIT: Launched @ Rs 9.99 lakhs

Had chance to take a look at Captur couple of weeks back at the Delhi Airport T3. Some quick observations:

The proportions are nice when viewed from front and side. I personally liked the side look.

The radio antenna was very long and seemed to belong to cars from previous decade. That's definitely an eye-sore.

I was surprised that none of the doors had space for bottle holders. I have similar grouse with our zest and it is frustrating to not have space for keeping water bottles close by on long rides.

There was also a Nexon on display at airport and Captur dash material looked and felt a notch below as compared to Nexon.

The arm-rest between front seats is ergonomically well-designed, at least that what I felt.

While the glove-box is cooled and lit, the size is utterly small. I know many people who prefer to keep all vehicle documents neatly in a plastic folder and I doubt such a folder can be kept in glove box without folding.

Not sure how this is going to be a competition to Creta. It looks more of a cross over than SUV. It can be to S Cross if you want to position against an existing model

Here is it official from Renault,
HOLD YOUR BREATH!!! Really?
On the contrary Renault India should be the ones holding their breath after trying to dupe the Indian customers with their unethical ad. After the success of Compass and Creta and with Brezza covering the lower end and Ecosport facelift which has quite a few new features added arriving around same time, its better you guys hold your breath.

To be honest I would be mortally terrified if I were in your shoes and had to pitch this crossover/hatch looking thing to SUV crazy audience. Where is the ruggedness and pose of Duster? It doesn't look very promising by any breadth of imagination!

Is there a Team bhp official review? GTO's post earlier in the Thread refers to Eddy and Omkar driving the car.

Here is a pictorial review of the SUV from CarDekho. According to the person reviewing it is bigger than all its rivals Duster, Creta and S-cross.

The Creta an SUV? Come on, surely you mean a large hatch (like all those on the wannabe-SUV gravy train) - attractive & well made no doubt, but still just a hatch. Just like the K/Captur.

I’m afraid all the king’s horses & all his men, cannot an SUV make – provide the AWD/4WD option first, and then we’re getting somewhere!

re: The Renault Captur SUV. EDIT: Launched @ Rs 9.99 lakhs

On the eve of Price reveal for the Captur on 6th November, Renault tweets "Goosebumps guaranteed".

Renault has managed to keep the details of variants confidential unlike Ford.

Going by the tweet, can we expect sensible and aggressive pricing?

re: The Renault Captur SUV. EDIT: Launched @ Rs 9.99 lakhs

Saw a Captur in flash on SG Highway, Ahmedabad near Renault Karnavati showroom this morning. It was an oragne one & had experience drive sticker on the side. It was in front of my eyes for merely 1-2 seconds as I was sitting inside a cafe. One thing I can say is, it looks more like crossover than an SUV & the side profile might remind you of Redi Go Plus.

Yup, this car was in the dealership for some time (but was kept under wraps in the service bay). Had checked it out in detail when I gave my Duster for service 3 weeks back. Looks stunning from outside, and stands taller than what the 210 mm ground clearance suggests. Interiors doesn't excite, however I think it's not half as bad as the majority in this thread says.

re: The Renault Captur SUV. EDIT: Launched @ Rs 9.99 lakhs

Checked out the Captur on display this evening at Delhi airport. Seems like the Creta is in for some serious competition if this is priced right. Some
Pictures below

One thing that stood out for me were the super comfy leather seats on the Platina mode On display. The seat cushion was nice and soft while the leather too have a smooth soft feel, almost like Napoa leather. The criss cross stitching is the trend on premium leather with everything from the Maybach to the new Emirates business class seats going this way.
