Suzuki Splash is ready for it's official launch at this year's Frankfurt Automobile show!

Some pictures from WCF (World car fans).

It looks good from the front and it is based on the swift platform!

The reasr is a bit wierd but nothing much of avoidable!

Yup! Interesting face with enough curves and bulges on the right places!

It will make for a good family car in India too.

Interiors have more bias towards Swift with some fun character added to it.

And some details from the same site.
  • All-Suzuki engineering and specifically styled for Europe
  • New design based on platform of best selling Swift
  • Efficient, Suzuki manufactured, petrol and diesel engines
  • Six airbags and ESP® available
  • Built in ultra-modern factory in Hungary
  • World debut at 2007 IAA International Motor Show, Frankfurt
Suzuki should launch this car in India with the same Swift DDis engine and I think it will rock!

Note: Pictures and details from WORLD CAR FANS.COM!

I like this, cummon the rear isn't bad by any means. It looks very Frencho-italian angular inverted lines. But the problem is, will they rename the Estilo when they launch this?

Being a WagonR owner, hurts to see your model getting outdated. However, more than happy this baby is going to come in place of the WagonR.

Now, just to give you guys an idea what goes through the mind of a current WagonR owner.

Looks
1. Looks- A beauty from the front, rear is OK (like Swift, is not a NO). However, this should put an end to it being called 'boxy'.
2. Door handles like Swift, more than welcome.
3. Look, its got big mirrors (I hate the tiny little plane mirrors they have on the old WagonR)
4. Already seeing many owners painting the grill to look 'Audi'ish.

Interiors- too good!
1. Look at the gear knob and they way it is placed! Now if only the shifts are anything like on the Swift. (mine has started to rebel badly)
2. New WagonR has same steering wheel, right?
3. The seats are not flat like on the current WagonR. Very good thing.
4. Ac controls looks great. (Mine has slider controls)
5. Where are all the storage spaces? WagonR has loads of them everywhere.

Now, 1.3 DDiS anyone?

Will Suzuki Do It Again?

SWIFT PETROL- DIESEL,SX4. GRAND VITARA(hopefully)
These are the latest offering from Maruti-Suzuki which have shaken and stirred Indian Auto industry & auto enthusiasts in India.
Much Have been discussed about all these.
If this was not enough Maruti is probably ready to create another SPLASH in India ofcourse with its all new SPLASH.
Take a look-

Suzuki Splash: New Pictures And Details Released

I think the car looks better than any of the small hatches in India and will replace ageing WagonR in coming years.
Add a Maruti-Suzuki badge and it will sale like Hot cakes.
Thankyou

Moving this thread to Indian car Scene since this car is headed for India in 2008 (in all probability).

PPl interested in buying a new compact cars this year, should not wait for this car to come to India soon.

This car will hit Indian roads in early 2010.

Suzuki is also studying one more design of a compact car to replace WagonR by 2010.

The sister cars- Opel agila/ Vauxhall agilla

Only slight change, otherwise these should also help us get a clue of what to expect.

Liked the rear of the Agila better than the splash.

Looks like everyone is doing that grille treatment nowadays. Is it an epidemic in Europe?

I like the front and the insides but not too happy with the instrument cluster and I HATE the rear. Those alluminium inserts are seen in the SX4 and GV and they are gonna make it in the Splash too? What engines are planned for India if it makes it here? The same 1.1L from Wagon R?

Does anyone else also see a hint of the Toyota Yaris in this, especially in that family picture?

Most probably a new generation K series engine. Definitely not the existing F10D.

F10D will be phased out soon after the G series in the Swift.

Must be the K series 1.0L engine producing 65bhp. And, the 1.3 DDiS (if Suzuki can meet demand )
