Suzuki Splash coming soon to India!

These are the first pictures of the Wagon R being tested. Sorry, but these were the best pictures I could find on the net. They were printed in Auto Express (UK).

Thanks
Redcandle

PS: I know you cant see anything in the second picture but still posted it just for the sake of it.

Currently, the Suzuki WagonR and the Vaxhaull/Opel Agila has been same car with different badges. According to WorldCarFans.com:
Quote:
AGILA

Seen here for the first time is a prototype of the upcoming Opel Agila replacement during secret testing in the south of Europe. The test crew also included some Suzuki engineers, because the Agila is being developed in co-operation between Opel and Suzuki.
Not much can yet be distinguished under the very tight disguise of the prototype, but the new Agila is going to be definitely an all new car with new styling. One photo allows at least a glimpse of the new dashboard.
The microvan will again use transversely mounted engines and is front driven. Power is expected to come again from two fuel engines between 60 and 80 HP and one 1,3 litre turbodiesel delivering 70 HP.

The interior, speacially the streeing wheel, is so similar to Swift.

Thanks

One more picture emerged recently....

This could very well be the New Wagon R. It will be interesting to see whether Suzuki gives us some Japanese shape from the east or gives us this more European styling from the west. If this is what the next WagonR is...... BRING IT ON BABY!!!

Thanks

Opel (GM) and Suzuki produce the in colaboration. Both the models are here in UK and rest of EUrope and are long due for a replacement. They are know to be in the process of developing the next AGILA(opel)/WagonR(suzuki). So if Suzuki gets a new WagonR, whats stopping them from bringing this to India???

Apart from the interior, the rear three-quarter is quite a bit Swift-ish, especially around the haunches & the quarter panel glass.

Quite like it.

Official Pics

The autoexpress says this car will replace the Wagon R in UK. And going by the way Maruti is taking its competition seriously...launching latest models from its international porfolio than 'hand me downs' like the way it previously used to....expect this car on indian roads in the near future.

If thats the New Wagon R, it looks worth it. The rear looks really European. The current one looks too boxy for my taste.

Auto express says two engines..
a 1.0-litre 64bhp three-cylinder and a 1.2-litre 85bhp four-cylinder unit.

but then, as you already know..maruti picks its own engines. The swift had to make do with esteem's engine...on the other hand..the sx4 has got an engine from the M-series. So its all upto maruti...what will it decide..

What kind of rear is that? Looks very odd, atleast to me. Kind of what you'll get when a truck bangs an Indica from behind.
