I just spoke to my guy at the local Skoda dealership. He says October 4 confirmed, 32-34 ex showroom Gurgaon, one model only with the 2.0 TDI and 7 Speed DSG, 4 colours.

Very unlikely that it will priced lower than Tiguan. My guess is that the 32 mentioned will be Ex-Showroom price where the 37 for Tiguan is the on-road price for the Highline.

My guess is that it'll be priced at par with the Tiguan, maybe slightly higher. The Kodiaq looks far more plush and imposing than the Tiguan. Strange, since VW is supposed to be the premium one.

However, I won't be surprised if they decide to take the Tucson head on by undercutting the Tiguan. Remember how the Superb made the Accord and Camry look obscenely expensive in 2009?

Has the launch date been finalized?

I have a strong feeling that the Kodiaq will change Skoda's fortunes for good, even if it is priced along side the Fortuner and Endeavor.

It is very rare for a massive SUV to fail, in India.
