I was logged in, just done the auto-update and all have vanished!

Issued documents are from valid authenticated sources. Actually, even cops of have apps that can cross verify your digital documents.

The government issued documents on Digilocker (e.g. license, Aadhar) are obtained directly from the respective ministry. These are not documents which are uploaded by you. Therefore, there is a presumed authenticity since those documents come from the source and not through manual uploading by the individual user. For instance, driving license copy is obtained from the respective RTO database, and it is uploaded from the RTO database to your Digilocker, without any manual intervention on your part.

If you create new account, you have to link it with your aadhar all over again. Try to login with your original account, otherwise it is a big headache. Contact support if you have problems.

I have two accounts now, but you can't link aadhar if you used the phone number already. Anyway, reset worked fine. Should be good for now, although I don't believe these documents will be accepted.

Hi All,

I am travelling to Goa from Bangalore this weekend (25th Oct- 29th Oct). My current license is issued in Assam and I have the copy both in Digilocker and MParivaahan. The physical copy is however with a driving school guy whom I had given for renewal. I might not be able to retrieve the physical copy before i leave. Would the Digilocker DL work out in the case. I have physical copies of other docs like RC and insurance. Please advise.

Yes digilocker copies are valid. If I am not wrong there are govt orders regarding the same

My D/L was renewed in July 2019 and valid till 2024 July. However Digilocker still shows the old one. Even after refreshing the page it still shows the old one.
What could be the problem and is there any way we can upload the renewed licence manually?

National DigiLocker and the data sync process is pathetic.

When you sell your old car and it gets re registered and if you buy a second hand car and re register it, the details never seem to get updated onto this DigiLocker.

I am yet to figure out how to upload the info manually and supersede the outdated date which is there on DigiLocker at present.

Basically, it is one more of Indian Government’s DISJOINTED IT Solutions.

Just like the fact that we may actually have the best engineers and builders in the world. But when it comes to our own roads and bridges, they are nowhere near world class.

Similarly we are amongst the best Software people in the world, yet, when it comes to our own Government sites and apps, we are nowhere near world class.
