The American auto giant, Ford, has announced earlier today that the company's Indian arm has rolled out it's 1,00,000th car from it's Sanand plant in Gujarat.
This milestone was achieved in less than 15 months of the plant going operational, according to company sources. The milestone vehicle was a Figo hatchback.
Ford's Sanand plant started it's manufacturing run from the Q2 2015, with a total investment of $1 billion. At present, Ford manufactures the Figo hatchback and the Aspire sedan for the Indian market at Sanand, while also catering to exports to 25 countries worldwide.

By the way, do we have a count or percentage of the vehicles that was for export against that was for the local market? I am sure a HUGE majority among the 100k will be for the foreign market - which is sad considering how competent and VFM the Ford Figo twins are, especially after the recent price cut.

A rough calculation based on sales report
Cumulative sales
Aspire: ~ 27K units
Figo: ~ 21K units
Total: ~ 48K units
Roughly 52K units (> 50%) should have been exported.
