Jaguar Land Rover has announced the launch of an online vehicle booking platform in India. This new platform has been designed to allow customers to book cars online by paying a deposit from anywhere, at any time. It also provides options through which, customers can request for a quotation or book a test drive.

Additionally, through the online portal, existing customers can choose to offer their pre-owned cars for exchange, while buying a new vehicle. The portal also has a car financing section, wherein the customers can opt for a financing option, with down payment and EMI that is suitable for them.

JLR has structured two different portals for Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. Jaguar customers can visit www.findmeacar.in, while those interested in Land Rover vehicles need to check out www.findmeasuv.in.

The company hopes that this online portal will help in expanding its market reach, which is currently limited to just 23 dealerships across the country.

Only pointing this out since it's a British company...

Shouldn't the grammatically correct URL be : findmeansuv.in ? :D

I think it's a very good move by JLR considering their very limited dealership network.

I just hope they are also smart enough to completely remove their useless Pure variants from all their model ranges. No luxury owner in their right minds would go for this barebones variant.

Find me a car? Find me a SUV (sic)? Seriously? Sounds like some teenager's college project. What lame names. Couldn't an uber-luxury brand like Jaguar come up with something classier?

Also, why not have this integrated on the main Jaguar-Land Rover India website itself? Yes, I do see a link...am talking about full integration.

Lastly, where's the attention to detail? On findmeasuv.in, the full range is missing :Frustrati. I see only these two.

Website says "Vehicles will be handed over in the city of the retailer you select". So, how does the website help? Most premium car owners anyway take test-drives at home / office.

No one's going to book from the website. Primary reason = DISCOUNTS. Luxury cars have fat discounts, and those will be shared only in person.

The JLR sales guy who came to me, gave no discounts whatsoever even after comparing with their competitors and haggling a lot. Honestly he did not budge a bit even after I kept him waiting for week's. Maybe I'm a bad negotiator, else there is no advantage here.

Also for prospective customers like me, the dealership has to send their car's for Test Drive 750 Km's away from their dealership. Here I found out that these sales guy's ask's us for contacts of prospective customers as they have a very limited network due the huge distance between them and us.

So I believe this online booking might help them a lot for getting new customers.
