| ![]() Mod Note: Please continue the discussion on the 2017 Dzire Preview thread. Thanks! Spied recently is the upcoming All New Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire, which is expected to be launched by mid-next year, 2017, by Cartoq website associates. As per information we're having, its going to be based on Baleno platform, on which upcoming 2017 Swift is also based, this new car features bigger exterior dimensions, width which is clearly visible. Length seems to be kept the same i.e Sub 4-metre to avail the excise duty tax benefits & segment to which it belongs. | ![]() Is it just me or the new Dzire is actually looking a much more well proportioned car compared to it's previous gen sibling? The grill looks much more mature than the one on the outgoing model. Hope they manage to get the body proportions right this time around. This one looks a lot similar to the first gen Verna. |

| ![]() A much awaited scoop. ![]() ![]() (source: http://www.cartoq.com/exclusive-new-...he-first-time/) This image shows the car is better proportioned than the current one - thanks to the more slopping rear wind screen and shorter roof than current DZire? One major difference between hatch version and this one is the smooth blending of A-pillar and roof here, than the edgy design in the hatch. Or am I mislead by camo? Also, the normalcy came back for the rear handle. The rear doors are very big, IMO. Is there a roof rail as well? ![]() The side profile somehow reminds me about a Suzuki B-segment sedan spied in China some time back. | ![]() If its based on the Baleno, it can't be Sub 4 meter because Baleno as a hatch itself is like a few mm short of 4 meters, adding a boot would definitely take it to a much higher number than 4 meters and from the pictures too, it does not look like its a sub 4 meter sedan. |

| ![]() The interiors seems to be different from the hatch version. Hatch has circular central ac vents, sedan has something similar to inverted shape of current one. So, it's clear that the hatch-to-sedan transformation for this car will be far evident and significant than current one. Last edited by romeomidhun : 23rd October 2016 at 23:13. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Next-gen Maruti Swift DZire spotted testing in India Thank you to Team-BHP fan Harpal Singh for sending these spy shots in. Heartfelt gratitude for sharing these with other enthusiasts! Suzuki is planning to launch the new-gen Swift next year. It has already been spotted testing multiple times in Europe. With the Swift getting a major update, it is obvious that the hatchback's sedan sibling - the DZire will also be getting a new model. In-line with these plans, Maruti Suzuki, has now started testing the next-gen DZire in the country. A set of spy shots of the new DZire were leaked a couple of days back, which showcased the car's front end. According to those images, the new DZire will get a larger front grille, in accordance to the company's latest design philosophy. It also adorns a new pair of headlamps and LED DRLs. New images surfaced also reveal a few details about the rear end. It gets a new set of taillights, while the boot lid gets a sharp kink in the centre in order to accommodate the new taillamps. However, since the car is heavily camouflaged, it is difficult to judge the exact shape and structure of the final product. Moreover, the car spotted is probably an early prototype and hence the production model might get a slightly different structure as well. Another image also reveals a few details about the car's interiors. Interestingly, the small pieces of dashboard visible in this image aren’t similar to those spotted on the new-gen Swift. While the 2017 Swift gets circular AC vents, the DZire spotted on Indian roads appears to get new vents and dashboard design. Moreover, the new-gen DZire's cabin will likely continue to feature a dual-tone black-beige scheme. The new Swift DZire is expected to launch in India later next year. No comprehensive information about the powertrain options available on the new model is available yet. ![]() ![]() Last edited by dZired : 24th October 2016 at 11:23. |

| ![]() Guess Maruti is just going to update the current-gen Dzire with new Swift's face and a new dashboard. The side profile looks almost the same. Maybe too early to judge. |

| ![]() Does this mean Dzire launch before Swift !!! Logic: We've seen the Dzire getting tested but not the Swift. The boot somehow gives me a feeling that it resembles the Xcent (neatly integrated) |

Also read somewhere that New DZire will come earlier than New Swift hatchback for its next 2017 update. Last edited by CRtorquefan : 24th October 2016 at 22:47. Reason: Text editing for quote reply | |||

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Yes the New Dzire will launch in India before the 2017 Swift. Expect an April 2017 launch. The Dzire is an India specific product with design inputs and prototyped here. The Swift is a global product and most probably the proto car will be imported for testing. Expect to see the testing to begin shortly ![]() |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() Is this really sub -4m? The car looks and feels really long. The front on shot with Baleno shows its as tall and wide, but the length of the boot is way more proportional as compared to the current DZire. |
