re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2016. EDIT: It's the Tata Tiago!

Voted for Maruti Suzuki Brezza. When I go out in the morning for a walk, I see 5-6 out of 10 vehicles that are parked on the roadside are Brezzas. Brezza is the new Swift (in terms of popularity).

My vote goes to Tiago. The product actually defines what a well-rounded product should be like. Hats off to Tata Motors.

re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2016. EDIT: It's the Tata Tiago!

Among the cars I would see myself consider buying, there was the Tiago and Endevour that come strong in their respective segments.

Ultimately, voted for the Tiago over the Endy because the segment that Tiago operates in is quite the Maruti-Suzuki/Hyundai stronghold and to get a product right (in terms of quality, specs and vfm) is extremely commendable. Add to that, the baggage of having a Tata badge.

+1 for Tiago

Competitive and value-for-money packaging
Build quality - If I have to point out the good use of metal, door hinges on par with European build, for sure the doors are heavy
Looks - way better than the competition (Celerio) IMHO

Way to go Tata, 2017 hopefully brings more cheer with Hexa (and Nexon if it goes live within 2017).

+1 for Tiago

Tiago has shown what the budget hatchback segment could potentially be - a strong European build, better creature comforts (Harman sound system) and good looks.

Voted for Ford Endeavour. Felt this automotive made sense with road presence, service costs, size and styling with in offered price .

re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2016. EDIT: It's the Tata Tiago!

I voted for Brezza, based on the car I would have personally purchased if I were to choose from the list.

Tiago: This would have been my choice if I could travel back into time 5 years ago when I purchased Wagon R. Tiago seems to be better choice than Wagon R roday.

Brezza: This would be my choice if I had to put money today, as this one fits the budget in current circumstances.

Hyundai Elantra: Five years from now, I see myself as potential customer for this car specially the automatic version.

Ameo gets my vote. I feel with the changing attitude towards automatics, Ameo DSG should get good sales in the near future. A DSG under 10lakhs, I have already started saving.

Endeavour for me...

Hits the sweet spot when it comes to styling an SUV. A brute! Absolutely salivate at the prospect of owning the car.

It's impossible for this to happen. More like human error than software error.

Or perhaps, the lure of the Endeavour was too much for you to resist .

This wouldn't happen at the cost of anything one could think of

The reason why I am damn sure is after I voted for Fortuner count increased by one (I was probably second to vote, hence was easy to count)

Anyway wanted to clarify my preference, that was priority.

Don't want to take the thread anymore off-topic, but:

We really cannot make assumptions like this. In 24 hours, this thread already has close to 900 votes, hence the more logical explanation is, whatever count you saw go up was because of somebody else's vote. If the count had gone up because of your vote, your handle would be in the same row.

Not to mention, of the hundreds of voters so far, you are the only one who faced a problem.

Again, human error, not software bug. In the history of Team-BHP (12 years with the same software), I have never heard of such a problem.

re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2016. EDIT: It's the Tata Tiago!

I shortlisted Tiago and Brezza based on the market interest these two cars generated.
+Ve for Tiago
- Yet another notch up for refinement (at least from a Tata car)
- Sheer value for money

+Ve for Brezza
- Full marks to Maruti for giving a SUV in a hatchback size - no pun intended - body is very well proportioned and looks cool
- Some color schemes look really exciting
- A very capable vehicle - of course national diesel engine helps in giving overall powerful yet frugal performance - this really has captures Indian buyer's imagination

Eventually Voted for Brezza.

Sadly, if I am in market for cars this year - I would pass both Tiago and Brezza and rather choose different cars from their segments.

Regards
JLS

Edit:
Surprised to see such a big following for Ford Endeavour.
Let the fun began - still some days to go. Lets see where the needle stops

Edit 1:
@Mod group
I believe last year I had see PMs coming in when COTY poll began.
I suggest to send PM and also additionally an e-mail to all members' registered e-mail address.
This will help in getting more participation in my opinion.
I believe if we get more than 50% of TBHPians to participate in this poll, it will lend that much more credibility to TBHP COTY.

Tiago for me. I think it is the best product made by Tata Motors. It's incredibly VFM and looks good both on the outside and the inside.
