If you say palio is built like tank then ofcourse Linea is.It has strong body.We can feel that when we open the doors.I hope Fiat India will bring the car with same built quality with same features. But i dont know whether they can fix a price in between 8 -9L.

Thanks for sharing the pictures jerish666. Must say, dont feel impressed enough to crave for the Linea. Probably its the anticipation of an underpowered diesel engine, maybe the fact that the rear end looks a bit ordinary, or maybe just the fact that the interiors just cant be compared to say, a Corolla or especially a Civic.

Whatever it is, I dont know if any Palio 1.6 owner enjoying his bloody responsive 100 horses would want to upgrade to a fabulous but underpowered car, unless ofcourse Fiat decides to load it up to the gills with features previously unheard of in that segment, say satnav, " blue and me" technology, panoramic roof, etc, obviously along with all possible active and passive safety features.Pricing would have to be around 7-8L range anyways, otherwise this thing is clobbered.

Secondly, if this is the engine that will be offered with the Linea, what does the GP get, only the 1.3 75 bhp Multijet? Thats good for the size of that thing, but its an engine that every damn diesel car, including the Palio MJD would have in the near future.

So, my point is, the Linea would face severe competition (engine wise)from the more popular and powerful SX4 1.6 or 1.9 DDiS (whichever is launched), the GP would have a head to head with almost every other diesel powered car, including the indica quadrajet. Why would anyone want to buy a Linea 1.3 Diesel instead of the 1.6/1.9 Diesel SX4? Why? Even a Fiat fan like me would'nt. You price the car at Civic levels, its got a bleek future, you price it at SX4 levels, you still have very very tough competition, you price it any lower, you are entering GP territory. So what can you do FIAT???

Anyways, hope I am proved wrong. Hope we do get the more powerful and deserving diesels.Hope we atleast get the 120 bhp T-Jet petrol ( That is my personal wish, so I can atleast think of upgrading).Hope better sense prevails at Fiat India Ltd this time around, actually, hmm lets not hope for that any longer.

I dont think so we will get 120bhp T-jet.They are offering 1.4L 77bhp everywhere. So i dont know whether they will bring 120bhp T-jet and 1.9 Diesel or not.
Hope our dearest Peter (Petes) will bring tuning box for 1.3MJD 90BHP.Still its a big "?" for this engine.Ofcourse 1.3MJD is powerful enough to pull swift and punto.IMO for Linea she needs more displacement.

Do they have 120 Bhp T-Jet Petrol on sale in Morocco? Did they gave any indication when will it be launched?

Thanks Jerish for the Linea pics!

Linea looks awesome for sure, 90 BHP is no less power, may be just good enough for daily drives!
Hope to see it in India this year!

Yeah even i hope they price it sensibly. I had read a lot of times in Autocar that Fiat will price Linea between 7-8 lakhs. Just hope it happens!!
I know many fiat fans are dying to wait for this vehicle!!

I think we will get a fair idea of Fiats pricing strategy with the Palio MJD launch, if and when it happens

We are yet to see the improvement. And we've been waiting for it so long.

If they launch the same fiat Linea in Europe market without any changes with the price tag in between 8-9Lacs then it will be a nice deal.
