I got a vouge feeling that the Package will be a little less than we expected.
For that price nobody can expect too much.If they introduce the full package then OTR will be 10-12lacs.

I read that you already know it but cannot disclose it. This could mean: no 1.4 T-jet, no 1.6 MJD, no dualogic, no Blue&Me, no hill holder... what else? I would really love to see dualogic, Blue&Me and climate control. I'm sure safety feature would be upto the competition.

Muneemmk, please update as soon as possible within the disclosing limit. Even some hints would be great , like it beats the competition in features or not, if not the engine specs, etc.

I think the blokes at Fiat India are actually scared to launch this car.

I think it would be no 1.6mjd. Maybe they are planning to release it later. And also no dualogic.

There will surely be no T-Jet and 1.6MJD (at least not yet) but Blue&Me and ACC will surely come with Blue&Me expected only in the top end variant. I am not going to be surprised that many of the features that were spoken about on another thread that got locked here were not avaliable on the car. How can any company give D segment features for C segment prices with a diesel engine?!

This is what happens when you believe people who say they spoke to Mr.X who got the information form some Mr.Y who got the information from ABC dealership.

PS: Fiat should re-think on the launch of the car now. This is probably the worst time for any company to launch a new car.

Maybe, Fiat's idea will be to put up the base price around 6-8 lakhs and offer many things like Blue & Me and other stuff as an add-on. I still have a feeling that 1.4T is on, but have lost hopes on 1.6 JTD, which is sad.

This is what I saw in front of Magarpatta City in Pune. Not difficult to recognize as the logo says "Fiat Linea".

The Fiat Linea-Is this the saloon that's coming to India?-dsc00923_1.jpg

Today on my way to work, I saw the same LINEA on the Fly-over near Bund Garden Road Police Station(Pune), coming from opposite direction.
So was able to see the front RED FIAT logo, but coudn't snap a pic as I was on my bike & it passed thru' quickly.

There was one more, golden coloured LINEA at the HPCL pump, Koregaon Park, Pune.

I read that they are targeting Verna, SX4, Fiesta and G3HC. This is a wide range. So expect a lot of variants of that 1.3 diesel.
The lower most will fight it out with SX4 and the highest will fight it out with Verna diesel and G3HC. Good.
So the higher end versions will end up above ten lakhs.

When Fiat and Tata went to Suzuki to procure the 75bhp diesel, Suzuki refused. Now in ACI I read that Suzuki will procure the 90bhp diesel from Fiat for SX4.

But I am now thinking of November 23/29. I hope its 23.
Waiting for your reply Muneemmk.

When MJD is Fiat's own engine, why should they goto Suzuki?
In fact, Maruti Suzuki is manufacturing MJD engines under licence from Fiat!

And 1.3 MJD 90 BHP will be sported first on Fiat Linea!
