Spotted these in Bombay today. Indian Police Cars-1487162086880.jpgIndian Police Cars-1487162100216.jpg

Part of Mukesh Ambani's security detail. I wonder if they are state owned or Reliance owned. Also saw the S Guard.

Going by the Registration plates, they dont look like Government vehicles - Govt vehicles are typically with the series G, GA ... (the one in the photo is BU).

I would think these are Reliance cars put into service of their Big Boss - would be too embarrassing to have a beat up car piloting a Rolls.

Why are the BMW badges removed from the bonnet and wheels?

If it is indeed so, what an irony!

Exactly my thoughts, maybe they don't want to come into limelight. It can be a perfect front page news so they want to keep hush-hush

Brand new 3.2L Endeavours and Fortuners too have joined the security fleet alongside the BMW X3s. As far as I remember, those cars had the brand badges on them. Probably this is an exception?

Nice catch there, a car which can keep on tail of almost any car they have. 30d after all!! OT but your pics have certainly gone viral on the net with almost all the news sites having those in it

Wow. I like how they don't even credit Teambhp on most of these blogs. And they made it sound as if they investigated the ownership. Appalling standards of journalism. But then again, Meh

Re: Indian Police Cars

The registration number is not a Government / Police one - and there is no visible identification of this being a cop Jeep (except for the windshield grille). So I guess it's one of those Jeeps which are rented out for movies.

Re: Indian Police Cars

Telangana police have Fortuners, Innovas, Sumos as part of their fleet along with the old faithfuls like Mahindra Commanders and MM 540s.

It seems AP police have added TUVs to their highway patrol fleet.

If these were really (Maharashtra) police vehicles, shouldn't they be having this logo -

Name: MP.png
Views: 4644
Size: 10.1 KB

The logo on the vehicles appears to be different with the word POLICE....

The Logo in the BMW is of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), of Govt of India, which provides Z Level security for Mukesh Ambani.
