See what the Goan Police have got.

This is taking the susegad attitude to the next level.

Looks like a perfectly good (if small!) motorcycle to me... what does 'susegad' mean?

Yuck! I spent 2 years in Goa, and remember the white uniform of the cops (as well as their white Bullet and CBZ bikes) that made them stand out from cops in the rest of the country.

One sunny afternoon in Panjim, I was sitting in that coffee shop in Hotel Fidalgo. A cop rolled up in his sparkling white bullet, and clean uniform. The bike had "cops" written behind the bike instead of the usual "police". Was an impressive sight.

And now they've replaced Bullets with Hero Honda 100ccs!

Susegad denotes the "Take it Easy" attitude of the Goans. Will be difficult to imbibe its true meaning until you live with the Goans for sometime..

These are meant for the beat policeman. For chakars around the city.

Yeah ideal and fuel efficient, but not really "COP" bikes.

Designed by Wendell Rodricks, nonetheless. We goans do it in style.

Oh these are not the Traffic Cops. They still have those Bullets and a couple of CBZ's.

There were rumblings to get Yamaha R15's. Imagine!!! The suggestion was pushed off though and they got these. Cost and mileage.

Could have been a sight. White R15's.

You only got the snap of the CD100. But the cops also got Pulsars. R15's and Ninja 250's are also on the cards. In fact many years ago the cops in Goa used to roam around town on RD 350's.

How about this? PC promises police choppers in metros

Police forces in mega cities will be provided with helicopters like in New York and London and other big cities of the world, Home Minister P Chidambaram said in Mumbai on Tuesday. "There are plans to provide helicopters for the mega city policing. So when mega city policing project is complete, mega cities will have helicopters," Chidambaram told reporters after inaugurating the first of the four hubs of elite National Security Guard commandoes in Mumbai. "That is the way policing is done in cities like New York and London and other big cities," he said.

Mumbai police now have the Toyota Innova to their disposal. These could be the well deserved replacements for the aging Qualis.

Guys I think we should stick with topic of Police Cars. Please do post the new Innova pics. That should be interesting.

Also sorry to contradict myself, however the Goa Police RD350 pic would be really interesting, if anyone has it- even though off topic.

CD100? Not interested!

That is exactly what the helicopters would be used for. They will be ferrying the politicians across the city.
