I feel innova will fit best for our police in metros. In villages and other cities, mahindra jeep is fine and how many times our cops do chases?

This was at Marina beach after a previous night's heavy downpour!.The cop was actually cleaning the car, or that's what i think it is!.I wondered what he might have been cleaning up!..These patrol cars have made life easier for drivers in Chennai, from what i observed.Police can now drive into narrow streets and pull up errant drivers or illegally parked vehicles.I saw cops patrolling neighborhoods in these cars, and the lights do serve as a deterrant!!. The cars have an excellent PA system.I've heard cops bellowing through them.Even truck drivers are now wary of these patrol cars!.A thumbs up, i must give!.

One more pic of Chennai city police car.....definitely looks better than the earlier Soviet era Mahindra Bolero....easier to manouver too!!....other Indian cities should change to police cars instead of the cumbersome and shabby vans that they now use....

Looks like they have put up a pointer at the front on teh bonnet, so the driver knows where the front ends.

Thats probably for a flag. Would have looked much better if they had mounted it on the right or left front fender though, rather than dead centre

hmmmm.....might have other uses too....like propping up a resisting criminal on it and carrying him to the copstation that way

I think this observation is correct.

Graduating from mahindra to accent.. The driver will sure have nightmares not able to see the road in front of him ...

So the device to help him locate the "Front" side of the car.

Well, Accent have a flat bonnet - so one can easily see the bonnet without a pointer My height is short yet I can see the full bonnet in Accent.
